Vomz Type III 25.4 mm Mount for Dovetail

• Steel construction: The all-steel body gives this detachable mount the rigidity needed to keep a 1 inch riflescope stable under regular field use and repeated handling.
• 25.4 mm ring size: Built for 25.4 mm (1 inch) scope tubes, it provides a straightforward fit for many classic rimfire and sporting optics without adapters.
• Dovetail compatibility: The mount is made for rifles with a dovetail receiver, making it suitable for a wide range of rimfire and sporting platforms that use this common interface.
• 0 MOA alignment: With 0 MOA inclination, it keeps the optic in a neutral position that suits general shooting, hunting, and target use at ordinary distances.
• Detachable design: As a detachable mount, it supports easier scope installation and removal while maintaining a practical, compact setup on compatible rifles.

About the Type III Series

The Vomz Type III series is a line of practical scope mounts intended for shooters who need a simple and durable way to fit conventional optics to rifles with a dovetail receiver. In the Vomz range, these mounts serve as straightforward mounting solutions for sporting and hunting rifles where reliability, secure clamping, and compatibility with common scope tube diameters matter more than extra adjustment systems or complex quick-release mechanisms.

Typical Type III models are built around a steel construction and a compact detachable format, which suits rimfire rifles and other sporting platforms that use an 11 mm or 3/8 inch style dovetail. The series is aimed at users who want a stable base for traditional day optics, especially in setups where moderate weight, low mounting complexity, and dependable alignment are priorities. The design philosophy is functional rather than elaborate: a solid mechanical interface, clean fit with standard scope tubes, and dimensions that work well with classic hunting optics and target scopes.

About the Vomz Type III 25.4 mm Mount for Dovetail

The Vomz Type III 25.4 mm Mount for Dovetail is designed for shooters using a 1 inch riflescope on a rifle with a dovetail receiver. Its main advantage is its direct, uncomplicated fit: the mount matches the most common traditional scope tube diameter, so it works well with many classic rimfire and sporting optics used for hunting, training, and target shooting. For rifles such as compatible Anschutz, CZ, Kimber, Krico, and other dovetail-equipped platforms, this mount offers a practical way to build a clean and stable optic setup.

The use of steel is important in day-to-day use because it gives the mount the stiffness needed to hold scope alignment consistently and resist wear from repeated installation, removal, and transport. The 0 MOA inclination keeps the optic in a neutral position, which is usually the right choice for general-purpose shooting distances rather than specialized long-range elevation setups. Because the mount has no windage adjustment, the design stays mechanically simple, with fewer moving parts and a more direct interface between rifle and optic.

Its detachable format also makes it useful for shooters who may need to remove the optic for storage, transport, or maintenance. Combined with the standard 25.4 mm ring diameter and black finish, this mount suits traditional riflescope installations where secure fit, straightforward handling, and compatibility with established dovetail rifles are the main priorities.

About Vomz
