UTG AR15 Low Profile Flip-up Front Sight for Handguard

• Manual flip-up front sight: folds flat when an optic is doing the primary aiming work, then deploys quickly as a dependable backup sight for AR-platform rifles.
• Standard A2 front sight post: uses a familiar elevation-adjustable pattern that is easy to service and practical for shooters who want a proven iron-sight setup.
• Posi-lock retention plunger: keeps the sight locked in the deployed position, helping maintain a consistent sight picture during movement, handling, and repeated firing.
• Low-profile Picatinny mounting deck: fits neatly on a handguard rail without adding unnecessary bulk, leaving more room for optics, lights, or other accessories.
• Aluminum and steel construction: combines low weight with the strength needed in a working backup sight, so the rifle stays trim without giving up durability.

About the UTG Mounts Series

UTG Mounts covers a broad range of mounting solutions and related hardware developed for practical rifle setups, from optics mounting to support components that help organize the sighting system around the rail. Within the wider UTG catalog, this family is aimed at shooters who want functional, robust equipment for sporting, range, and field use without unnecessary complexity. The series reflects a design approach built around Picatinny compatibility, straightforward installation, and profiles suited to modern sporting rifles.

Across the range, the emphasis is on secure attachment, sensible dimensions, and materials chosen for regular use on working firearms. In practice, that means components that integrate cleanly with AR-pattern platforms and other rifles equipped with rail interfaces. The family is defined less by decorative styling than by practical fit, repeatable positioning, and compact form factors that do not crowd the rifle. For users building a dependable carbine setup, UTG Mounts focuses on keeping accessories stable, accessible, and proportionate to the firearm rather than oversized or cumbersome.

About the UTG AR15 Low Profile Flip-up Front Sight for Handguard

The UTG AR15 Low Profile Flip-up Front Sight for Handguard is a compact front iron sight designed for rifles that use a railed handguard and need a backup aiming system that stays out of the way until required. Its flip-up configuration makes it especially useful on carbines fitted with red dot sights, magnifiers, or low-power optics, where the shooter may want a clear primary sight picture but still keep irons available on the rifle at all times.

The sight uses a standard A2 front sight post, which gives it a familiar sight picture and practical elevation adjustment. That matters for shooters who already know the A2 system and want a front sight that can be zeroed with established methods rather than a proprietary arrangement. The deployed sight is held in place by a Posi-lock retention plunger, helping it stay upright and consistent during handling and firing. When folded, the low-profile body reduces snagging and preserves space on the rail.

Its construction combines aluminium with steel in the working areas, balancing manageable weight with the durability expected from a backup iron sight. The black finish keeps the appearance subdued and matches common AR accessories well. Mounted to a Picatinny rail, it suits same-plane handguard applications and works well as part of a lightweight, practical AR sighting setup.

About UTG

UTG is a brand of Leapers, Inc., a company founded in Michigan in 1992. Headquartered in Livonia, Michigan, Leapers develops optics and shooting accessories for hunting and shooting sports, including riflescopes, mounts, rings, bipods, and related support equipment. The company began with a compact 4×28 scope as its first product, and it has since expanded into a broad catalog covering both optics and firearm accessories.

Within that portfolio, UTG is especially well known for practical mounting systems and rifle components built around real-world compatibility and straightforward use. Leapers introduced the UTG PRO line in 2009 for U.S.-made products and later established an optics research and manufacturing center in Taiwan in 2018. This background is relevant to products like AR iron sights, where dependable fit, repeatable mounting, and durable construction matter as much as compact dimensions.
