Thompson Center Rugged Range Rod, 32", With Grip

• 32-inch working length: The extended rod gives the reach needed for many muzzleloader and long-gun cleaning tasks, making it easier to work from the muzzle without resorting to short sectional rods.
• Aluminium construction: The rod keeps weight down while remaining practical for regular range and bench use, so it is easier to carry in a shooting kit and handle during repeated loading or cleaning work.
• Integrated grip: The added grip improves control when pushing patches, jags or other muzzleloading accessories through the bore, helping maintain steadier pressure and more comfortable handling.
• Suitable for pistols and rifles: Broad compatibility makes this a useful general-purpose muzzleloader accessory for shooters who maintain more than one firearm type.
• Rugged black finish: The simple, durable finish suits field and range equipment and gives the rod a practical appearance that matches other black-powder accessories.

About the Rugged Range Rod Series

Thompson Center Rugged Range Rod accessories are built as practical support tools for muzzleloader maintenance, loading and range work. In the Thompson Center lineup, this type of accessory sits alongside the brand’s black-powder shooting equipment and is aimed at shooters who want a sturdier, more convenient alternative to compact field rods supplied with many muzzleloaders. The design focus is straightforward utility: a full-length rod, durable materials and handling features that make repetitive bench work easier.

Within the series, the emphasis is on reach, control and day-to-day durability rather than compact carry. That makes these rods especially relevant for cleaning between shots, seating projectiles with more consistent pressure and handling routine bore maintenance at the range or at home. For muzzleloader owners who spend time developing loads or keeping black-powder rifles in working order, a dedicated range rod is a useful accessory because it speeds up routine tasks and reduces the inconvenience of working with shorter factory rods.

About the Thompson Center Rugged Range Rod, 32", With Grip

The Thompson Center Rugged Range Rod, 32", With Grip is a dedicated muzzleloader accessory designed for shooters who want better leverage and control during loading and cleaning. Its 812.00 mm length gives it the reach needed for many rifle-length applications while still remaining useful around the bench for general black-powder maintenance. Compared with shorter rods, a full-length range rod is easier to guide through the bore and more comfortable to use during repeated sessions.

The rod is made from aluminium, which keeps overall handling light and practical for transport in a range bag or shooting kit. That matters during extended cleaning or load-development sessions, where a lighter rod is less tiring to use repeatedly. The with-grip configuration adds a more secure hand position, helping the shooter apply smoother, more controlled pressure when seating a projectile or pushing cleaning patches through the barrel. In practice, that improves comfort and makes repetitive tasks feel more deliberate and less awkward.

Compatibility with pistols and rifles broadens its usefulness for shooters who own more than one black-powder firearm. Finished in black, it has the understated, workshop-ready look expected of a hard-use accessory. Overall, this model is best suited to range use, routine maintenance and any muzzleloading setup where a longer, easier-to-handle rod is preferred over a compact carry rod.
