Thompson Center 209 Primer Caddy

• Reserve primer storage: The caddy holds 9 primers, giving muzzleloader shooters a compact way to carry spare ignition components for reloads in the field.
• Dry, clean protection: By keeping primers enclosed, it helps shield them from dirt and moisture, which supports more dependable ignition when conditions are less than ideal.
• Easy-to-spot red body: The bright red finish makes the caddy quicker to find in a pouch, pack or jacket pocket when a fast reload matters.
• Cold-weather flexibility: The body stays flexible in cold weather conditions, so it remains easier to handle during late-season hunts and winter range sessions.
• Purpose-built muzzleloader accessory: Designed specifically for 209 primers, it keeps a small but practical supply organized instead of loose among other gear.

About the Thompson Center Accessories Series

Thompson Center Accessories is a practical field-oriented series built around the needs of hunters and outdoor users. Rather than focusing on one firearm platform alone, the range covers everyday support gear for carrying equipment, organizing essentials and keeping important items close at hand in the field. Within the line, products are aimed at the small tasks that affect convenience during a hunt, from transporting firearms and binoculars to managing muzzleloader reload supplies.

The series sits as a utility-focused part of the Thompson Center offering, with an emphasis on straightforward designs that are easy to use in real hunting conditions. Its products are meant to reduce clutter, improve access to gear and keep critical items protected while moving through rough terrain or changing weather. In the muzzleloader segment especially, that approach matters because primers, tools and other small components need to stay organized and ready. Thompson Center Accessories therefore fits users who value simple, purpose-built equipment that supports a smoother day in the field without adding unnecessary bulk.

About the Thompson Center 209 Primer Caddy

The Thompson Center 209 Primer Caddy is a compact muzzleloader accessory made to keep a small reserve of 209 primers protected, organized and immediately accessible. For hunters carrying a muzzleloader, loose primers in a pocket or pouch can be slow to sort through and easier to contaminate with dirt or moisture. This caddy solves that problem with a dedicated holder that keeps primers together and ready for use when a reload is needed.

Its capacity of 9 primers gives enough reserve for a day in the field without taking up much space in a possibles bag, jacket pocket or shooting pouch. The bright red color is a practical detail rather than a cosmetic one: it stands out against darker gear, making the caddy easier to locate quickly in low light or when wearing gloves. Thompson Center also designed it to stay flexible in cold weather conditions, which is especially useful for late-season hunts when stiffer materials can become awkward to handle.

In use, the caddy is about speed and reliability. It helps keep primers dry and clean, supports more orderly reload management and reduces fumbling with small ignition components. For muzzleloader shooters who want a simple way to carry spare primers securely, this accessory adds convenience without unnecessary complexity.

About Thompson Center

Thompson/Center Arms traces its firearms business to 1967 and is headquartered in Rochester, New Hampshire, United States. The brand has long focused on firearms and related equipment for hunters, shooters and outdoor enthusiasts, with a history that includes muzzleloaders, black-powder accessories, interchangeable firearm systems and precision rimfire rifles. Well-known product families have included the T/C Encore platform and the Triumph muzzleloader line.

The company’s ownership has changed over time, with Smith & Wesson completing its acquisition on January 4, 2007, later announcing plans to divest the brand on May 3, 2021. In 2024, Gregg Ritz acquired Thompson/Center Arms. Across those changes, Thompson Center has remained closely associated with practical hunting firearms and muzzleloading equipment, which makes accessories such as primer carriers a natural part of its product range.
