About the SL Series

The Streamlight SL Series is built around full-size rechargeable duty flashlights designed for professional users who need dependable handheld lighting for routine service, inspection, and emergency response work. Within Streamlight’s lineup, the series represents the brand’s traditional rechargeable format: larger than compact everyday lights, but well suited to extended handling, charging-cradle use, and repeated daily deployment.

Across the series, the emphasis is on durable construction, straightforward operation, and rechargeable power systems that reduce the need for disposable batteries. Models in the family are commonly used in law enforcement, industrial, facility, and maintenance roles where a light may spend part of the day on charge and the rest in active service. The series is also known for compatibility with dedicated charging accessories and replacement components, which helps keep established flashlight fleets working over the long term. In practical terms, the SL platform is valued for serviceability, familiar ergonomics, and a rechargeable design intended for regular professional use rather than occasional backup duty.

About the Streamlight Battery Stick NiMH (SL-20L/LP,SL-20XP-LED, UltraStinger)

The Streamlight Battery Stick NiMH is a purpose-built replacement power source for several of the company’s larger rechargeable flashlights, including the SL-20L/LP, SL-20XP-LED, and UltraStinger. Its main advantage is straightforward: it restores the flashlight’s original rechargeable power system with a battery designed around the dimensions and electrical requirements of those specific models. That matters in professional lights, where dependable charging contact, proper fit inside the body, and predictable runtime are more important than using a generic substitute.

The nickel metal hydride construction suits lights that are charged and discharged regularly. For users who rely on a duty flashlight through repeated work cycles, a rechargeable battery stick is a practical maintenance item that helps extend the service life of the light itself. It is especially useful for keeping older but still capable Streamlight platforms in operation, whether the light is used for patrol, inspection, workshop tasks, or general field carry.

Because this is an original Streamlight accessory, it also makes sense for departments, workshops, and individual owners who want to maintain compatibility with existing chargers and flashlight housings. Rather than changing systems, this battery stick supports continued use of proven rechargeable flashlight models with the correct factory-style replacement component.
