Schmidt & Bender Klassik 3-12x42 Product description

Schmidt & Bender Klassik 3-12x42 is similar to 3-12x50 but is more suitable for stalking and mountain hunting than for low light use. It is much more compact and lighter than the same scopes with 50mm lens. Schmidt & Bender Klassik riflescopes are designed for hunters who seek good quality in a traditional construction and do not require an illuminated reticle. They perform well in poor light conditions and dusk or dawn hunting. The reticle is seated in the first focal plane and will change in size according to magnification. All Schmidt & Bender Klassik series riflescopes are waterproof and filled with dry nitrogen for easy use at low temperatures. All lens surfaces are multi coated and the construction ensures safe use on even the most powerful hunting rifles. Schmidt & Bender Klassik riflescopes have a warranty period of 10 years and an additional 20 years guarantee for service and maintenance.

Hello dear Optics-Trade Team, I would like to purchase the Rusan pivot mount for my Zastava LK M70 from your store. The rifle scope which has to be mounted on the rifle is the Schmidt & Bender Klassik 3-12x42. The ringmounts has to be 30mm for shure. Which BH height and extension (KR) would you recommend ? I would have otherwise use your new online tool for assembling rifles with mounts and scopes, but it is not aviable for us at the moment. In addition I want to say that the tool is fantastic, I was very impressed as I saw it first time ! Keep up with this kind of innovations ! Thanks in advance and best regards, Branimir

by Branimir

Dear Sir!

For your Schmidt & Bender Klassik 3–12×42 on the Zastava LK M70 with 30 mm rings, we recommend a BH of at least 10 mm to ensure safe clearance between the objective and the barrel.
As for KR (forward extension), 0 mm is fine — the scope’s standard eye relief (~90 mm) works well with a 0mm KR mounting.

Thank you very much for the kind words about our configurator — we’re still improving it and adding more products.

Thank you for your understanding.

Is this scope available in a bdc turret and p3 reticle? If so what’s price in usd?

by Bethany

Dear Sir!

Yes, this scope is available in this combination with an illuminated P3 reticle, which is marked as P3L and BDC turret. You can choose all the mentioned options when ordering it in a dropdown menu.

by Optics Trade team

On the P3L model with the BDC turret, how much vertical adjustment does the scope have once the turret is set at zero?

by RL

Dear Sir!

It depends on your scope mounts and where your zero is. In an ideal situation you should have around 60cm/100m of vertical adjustment. But more realistic is to have around 50cm/100m of adjustment.

For the option with the reticle as "P3L" the turret type is listed as "ASV // BDC / Klassik". Does this mean the turret is the "BDC (Elevation)" or "Klassik CT" as shown on the S&B website? https://www.schmidtundbender.de/en/products/turrets/hunting.html

by Kyle

Dear Sir,

thank you for reaching out to us.

The BDC (Elevation) turret is the correct one.

Kind regards

Hello, I am interested in purchasing the Schmidt & Bender Klassik 3-12x42 with P3 reticle. Can you confirm the availability of this product? Your website says it’s in stock but I want to confirm before I order.

by Tim

This product indeed is available for purchase, however, we don't have it in stock at this moment. If the manufacturer does indeed have it in stock, the delivery time is approximately 14 days, if not it could take up to 8-10 weeks since the majority of S&B scopes are made by demand.
