Safariland 5198 Open Top Paddle and Belt Loop Holster for Springfield Armory XD STXPLN

1. Versatile Carry Options: This holster system provides ultimate versatility by including both an injection-molded paddle attachment for easy on-and-off carry and a sturdy belt loop that accommodates belts up to 1.75 inches. This allows the user to switch between a quick, convenient setup and a more secure, stable rig for all-day wear.

2. Robust SafariLaminate™ Construction: Built from a rugged, thermoformed SafariLaminate™ material, the holster is highly durable and resistant to the elements. Its non-abrasive interior is suede-lined to protect your firearm’s finish from scratches and wear, ensuring your Springfield XD remains in pristine condition.

3. Reliable Passive Retention: The holster features a precise and adjustable passive retention system. A detent on the trigger guard securely locks the handgun in place, providing confident Level 1 retention while still enabling a fast and instinctive draw, making it an excellent choice for competitive shooting and defensive applications.

4. Performance-Oriented Design: With its low-cut, open-top build, this holster is optimized for speed. It allows for a full combat grip on the firearm before the draw and ensures there are no obstructions, facilitating a rapid and efficient draw stroke, which is critical in both competitive and tactical scenarios.

ABOUT THE SAFARILAND PADDLE/BELT LOOP HOLSTER WITH DETENT

The Safariland Paddle/Belt Loop Holster offers a versatile and reliable solution for carrying your Springfield XD 9mm or .40 pistol. Designed for outside-the-waistband (OWB) use, its standout feature is the dual mounting system, which includes both a convenient paddle and a secure belt loop. This adaptability makes it perfect for a wide range of users, from competitive shooters who need to gear up quickly to everyday carriers who prefer the stability of a belt-mounted system. The holster is constructed from a rugged SafariLaminate™ material, ensuring it can withstand harsh conditions while protecting the firearm's finish with its suede lining. Its core function revolves around the adjustable detent retention system, which provides a secure, audible click when the firearm is holstered, giving you peace of mind that your weapon is held firmly in place until you need it. This combination of speed, security, and material quality makes it a top choice for range days, competition, and general-purpose carry.
