Rusan Q-R mount for Picatinny/Weaver, Xinfrared Xsight

• Quick-release Picatinny/Weaver fit: The mount attaches to a Picatinny or Weaver-style rail and removes quickly, which is useful when a thermal or night-vision sight needs to be transferred between rifles or taken off for transport without changing the basic setup.
• Model-specific interface for Xinfrared Xsight: Built for the Xinfrared Xsight SL35/SL50/SH50 platform, this mount gives a dedicated fit instead of a generic clamp solution, helping the sight sit securely and consistently on the rifle.
• Steel base with aluminium adapter: Rusan uses a steel base for strength at the rail interface and an aluminium upper adapter for the device connection, balancing durability with sensible overall weight for field use.
• Adjustable QR levers: The quick-release levers are adjustable and can be positioned as needed, making it easier to tune clamping tension and lever placement around the rifle, optic body or other accessories.
• Solid recoil-lug construction: The recoil lug is milled from solid material rather than added as an insert, which gives the mount a more robust interface under recoil and helps maintain a stable connection on hard-used hunting or tactical rifles.

About the Rusan QR Mounts for NV and Thermal Series

Rusan QR Mounts for NV and Thermal are dedicated quick-release mounting solutions for shooters using night-vision and thermal devices on rifles with Picatinny rails. In Rusan’s lineup, this series sits as a practical bridge between the rifle and the sighting device: not a universal one-size-fits-all mount, but a family of model-specific adapters built around the dimensions of compatible digital and thermal optics. The series covers a wide spread of devices, including units from ATN, HIKMICRO, Pard, Pulsar, Yukon and Xinfrared, alongside a base-only option for users building a custom setup.

The design philosophy is straightforward and mechanical rather than decorative. The base is CNC-machined from solid high-grade steel and finished in black oxide for strength at the rail interface, while the device adapter uses high-grade aluminium alloy to keep the upper section lighter. Rusan also specifies a recoil lug milled from solid material, which matters on rifles that see repeated removal and reinstallation. Adjustable quick-release levers complete the concept, giving the series the flexibility expected from hunting optics and thermal imaging setups that may need to move between rifles or come off quickly for storage and transport.

About the Rusan Q-R mount for Picatinny/Weaver, Xinfrared Xsight

The Rusan Q-R mount for Picatinny/Weaver, Xinfrared Xsight is a dedicated one-piece mounting solution for the Xinfrared Xsight SL35/SL50/SH50. Its purpose is simple but important: to give these thermal sights a secure, repeatable connection to rifles equipped with a Picatinny or Weaver-type rail. For users running thermal imaging on hunting rifles or practical field rifles, a mount like this is not just an accessory; it is the part that determines how confidently the sight interfaces with the firearm.

This model follows the series formula of a steel lower section and an aluminium upper adapter. In practice, that means the rail-contact area is built for strength where recoil forces are concentrated, while the upper section avoids unnecessary bulk around the sight body. The quick-release lever system is especially useful for shooters who remove the optic after a hunt, swap the sight between compatible rifles, or need easier access during transport and maintenance. Because the levers are adjustable and can be positioned as needed, the mount is easier to tailor around the rifle’s controls and surrounding equipment.

Another practical detail is the solid-milled recoil lug, which supports a more stable lock-up under repeated use than a separate inserted lug design. Rusan also specifies compatibility with Picatinny rails at least 90 mm long, giving the mount enough bearing surface for a secure fit. The result is a purpose-built NV and thermal mount that prioritises dependable attachment, clean handling and straightforward use with the Xinfrared Xsight platform.

About Rusan

Rusan is a Croatian manufacturer focused on precision metal components for sporting and shooting use. The company’s roots go back to 1983, and Rusan-Mikron in Marija Bistrica, Croatia developed from that metalworking background into a specialist maker of scope mounts, rings, Picatinny rails and firearm tuning parts. The company began producing scope mounts in 1993, building a reputation around practical, well-machined mounting solutions for hunting optics and rifle platforms.

A key part of Rusan’s expertise is the interface between rifles and electro-optics. The range includes adapter clamps for clip-on sights and adapters for night-vision and thermal-imaging devices, reflecting the brand’s strong presence in this category. Rusan introduced its clip-on sight adapter clamp in 2009, and its catalogue continues to focus on robust metal construction, precise fit and compatibility across a wide variety of rifles and optical devices.
