Recknagel Steel Tip-Off Mount with Windage for 11 mm Dovetail, Swarovski SR Rail

• Steel tip-off construction: The steel build gives this mount the rigidity needed to keep a rail-mounted riflescope stable under repeated use, while also standing up well to field handling and regular removal.
• Windage adjustment: Built-in windage correction helps align the optic to the rifle more precisely, which is especially useful on rimfire and sporting rifles where fine lateral adjustment can simplify zeroing.
• Swarovski SR rail interface: The upper section is made for scopes with the Swarovski SR rail, giving a secure, repeatable connection without conventional rings pressing on the scope tube.
• 11 mm dovetail fit: Designed for rifles with an 11 mm dovetail, this mount provides a direct solution for many classic sporting and target platforms without needing an added rail.
• Tip-off design: The tip-off layout allows the optic to be removed when needed for transport, maintenance, or access, while keeping the mounting system compact and mechanically straightforward.

About the Recknagel Slide-Off Rings Series

Recknagel Slide-Off Rings are part of the company’s current scope-mount catalog and cover a broad range of classic European mounting needs. The series is built around slide-off and tip-off mount designs intended for shooters who want a direct, mechanically simple way to fit optics to rifles with traditional dovetail interfaces. Within the range, Recknagel offers versions for 11 mm dovetails as well as 16 mm dovetails and specialized variants for break-barrel guns with a 14.5 mm dovetail.

A key characteristic of the series is its variety of upper interfaces. Alongside conventional ring versions, the line also includes models for Zeiss and Swarovski SR rails, making it suitable for users who prefer manufacturer-specific rail-mounted optics over standard tube clamping. The series appears across hunting and sporting applications, including variants listed for Anschütz rifles and other established platforms. In practice, the Slide-Off Rings family is aimed at shooters who value a low-profile fit, solid steel mounting feet, and a traditional detachable mounting concept that matches classic rimfire, sporting, and target rifles.

About the Recknagel Steel Tip-Off Mount with Windage for 11 mm Dovetail, Swarovski SR Rail

The Recknagel Steel Tip-Off Mount with Windage for 11 mm Dovetail, Swarovski SR Rail is a specialized mounting solution for rifles that combine a traditional 11 mm dovetail with a modern scope using the Swarovski SR rail. That combination makes it especially relevant for rimfire, smallbore, and sporting rifles where the receiver already provides a dovetail and the shooter wants the clean, secure fit of a rail-mounted optic rather than conventional rings.

The practical advantage of the SR interface is that it supports the scope by its rail, not by clamping around the main tube. This helps preserve scope alignment and simplifies installation for users who prefer a factory rail system. The steel construction adds stiffness and durability, which matters on rifles that are carried often, transported regularly, or used over long shooting sessions where consistency is more important than saving a small amount of weight.

Windage adjustment is one of the defining features of this model. Instead of relying only on the scope’s internal adjustment range, the mount itself allows lateral correction, which can make zeroing more efficient and help keep more of the optic’s internal travel in reserve. With 0 MOA inclination, the mount is configured for straightforward general shooting distances rather than built-in elevation bias for extended-range work. The result is a compact, purpose-built Recknagel mount for shooters who need a direct dovetail fit, SR-rail compatibility, and added control during sight-in.

About Recknagel

Recknagel is a German manufacturer focused on firearm and riflescope mounting systems, sights, and hunting accessories. The company’s history began in 1867, when Adolf Recknagel started manufacturing firearm sights in Albrechts near Suhl, Thuringia. Over time, the range expanded to include scope mounts, Picatinny rails, triggers, safeties, and later hunting silencers, reflecting a long specialization in mechanical components for sporting and hunting firearms.

The company relocated from Schweinfurt to Bergrheinfeld in 2006, and in 2010 it introduced the ERATAC line for tactical mounts and accessories. That combination of traditional hunting products and more modern tactical mounting systems gives Recknagel a broad reputation in the optics-mount category. In 2022, the company was acquired by Dr. Moritz Fehrer, continuing the brand’s development as a specialist in precision mounting solutions made in Germany.
