Primary Arms GLx 2XP Carry Handle Adapter

• Carry Handle Mounting Solution: This adapter lets the Primary Arms GLx 2XP prism scope mount directly to a standard carry handle, making it a practical option for AR-pattern rifles that do not use a flat-top receiver.
• Iron Sight Channel: The body is cut so it does not block iron sights, allowing the rifle to retain its original sight picture instead of forcing a choice between optic and backup aiming.
• Low, Natural Optic Position: By fitting into the carry handle sight channel without unnecessary added height, the adapter helps keep the optic in a more natural shooting position for faster target acquisition and steadier head placement.
• Aluminium Construction: The aluminium body keeps weight down while still providing the rigidity needed for a secure optic interface on a hard-use rifle setup.
• MIL-SPEC Carry Handle Fit: Designed for standard AR-15 and AR10 MIL-SPEC carry handles, it gives retro-style and fixed-handle rifles a straightforward way to use a modern prism optic.

About the Primary Arms Accessories Series

Primary Arms Accessories covers the supporting parts that help shooters adapt, protect, and fine-tune their optics setups. Rather than focusing on one single optic type, the series spans practical add-ons such as sun shades, anti-reflection devices, flip caps, scope levels, throw levers, and battery-related accessories. That broad scope places the line alongside the company’s core optics families as the hardware that makes those optics easier to use in the field.

Within the lineup, the emphasis is on fit-specific compatibility and straightforward function. Some accessories are built around selected SLx, GLx, and PLx riflescopes, while others support prism optics and related mounting arrangements. The design philosophy is simple: keep installation easy, preserve the intended handling of the optic, and solve a specific use-case without adding unnecessary bulk. For shooters building hunting optics, tactical optics, or retro-inspired rifle setups, the series provides the small but important components that make an optic system work cleanly and reliably.

About the Primary Arms GLx 2XP Carry Handle Adapter

The Primary Arms GLx 2XP Carry Handle Adapter is a purpose-built mounting accessory for shooters who want to pair the GLx 2X Prism Scope with a rifle that uses a fixed carry handle. Instead of forcing a higher, less natural mounting position, the adapter sits in the carry handle sight channel to create a secure interface while keeping the optic lower on the rifle. In practical use, that means a more consistent cheek weld, quicker sight alignment, and less compromise when adapting a classic AR layout to a modern prism optic.

One of the most useful details is the open channel that preserves the iron sight picture. On carry handle rifles, that matters because the rifle can keep its original sighting capability without removing the optic. This makes the adapter especially relevant for retro builds, service-rifle inspired setups, and general-purpose carbines where maintaining the rifle’s original handling is part of the appeal.

The adapter is made from aluminium and finished in black hardcoat anodizing, balancing low weight with the durability expected from a mounting component. It is designed to fit standard AR-15 and AR10 MIL-SPEC carry handles and is compatible with the mini ACOG footprint used by the Primary Arms GLx 2XP prism scope. The result is a compact, simple mounting solution that solves a specific problem cleanly: adding a prism optic to a carry handle rifle without giving up the rifle’s original sight line and character.

About Primary Arms

Primary Arms Optics was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas, United States. The company designs and manufactures optics and also operates e-commerce, wholesale distribution, and government sales divisions, giving it a broad presence across the shooting optics market. Its catalog covers rifle scopes, prism scopes, red dot sights, mounts, and accessories, with product families that include PLx, GLx, SLx, and CLx.

A defining part of the brand’s identity is the ACSS reticle system, a Primary Arms technology developed to combine aiming, ranging, and hold references in a faster-to-read format. The company also uses features such as AutoLive motion-sensing illumination in relevant optics. In products like this carry handle adapter, Primary Arms applies the same practical approach to mounting hardware and accessories, focusing on compatibility and field use rather than unnecessary complexity.
