Pachmayr Mag Sleeves for Springfield XD9/XD40 Sub Comp

• Extended-magazine fit: This sleeve is shaped for the Springfield XD9/XD40 Sub Comp when using longer Springfield XD9/XD40 magazines, helping the magazine sit more naturally against the frame.
• Improved grip surface: By filling the gap below the compact grip, the sleeve creates a fuller handhold that can make reloads and rapid strings feel more controlled.
• Cleaner carry profile: A longer magazine can protrude awkwardly from a sub-compact pistol; the sleeve gives the setup a more integrated look and a more comfortable transition from frame to magazine.
• Simple magazine installation: The Mag Sleeve slides over the magazine and is secured with a set screw, so it is easy to fit without altering the handgun itself.
• Durable polymer construction: The polymer body keeps weight low while standing up well to regular handling in range, training, and carry use.

About the Pachmayr Accessories Series

Pachmayr Accessories covers a broad range of practical shooting components built around better handling, comfort, and fit. The series includes handgun and revolver grips, rifle grips, and recoil pads for rifles and shotguns, reflecting Pachmayr’s long focus on functional upgrades rather than cosmetic add-ons. Within the line, the emphasis is usually on parts that improve how a firearm sits in the hand, manages recoil, or adapts to a specific role.

That design approach makes the series especially relevant to shooters who want straightforward improvements for carry guns, hunting firearms, and general range use. Some products in the family focus on grip texture and control, while others address stock fit, recoil reduction, or compatibility with different firearm formats. Across the range, the common theme is a practical, workshop-minded approach: accessories that are easy to install, built for regular use, and intended to solve familiar handling issues without adding unnecessary complexity.

About the Pachmayr Mag Sleeves for Springfield XD9/XD40 Sub Comp

The Pachmayr Mag Sleeves for Springfield XD9/XD40 Sub Comp are designed for a very specific job: adapting longer Springfield XD9/XD40 magazines to the Springfield XD9/XD40 Sub Comp so the pistol gains capacity without leaving an exposed, uncomfortable gap below the grip. On compact and sub-compact handguns, full-size magazines often work mechanically, but the extra length can make the pistol feel less settled in the hand. This sleeve addresses that by creating a smoother transition between the frame and the magazine body.

In practical use, that means the pistol can feel more secure during reloads, recoil recovery, and one-handed handling. The added surface at the front of the magazine helps support the lower hand position that would otherwise rest against a sharp step between grip and magazine. It also gives the setup a more finished appearance, which matters for shooters who use extended magazines for training, backup carry, or home-defense staging.

Polymer construction keeps the sleeve light at 60.00 g while remaining suitable for repeated insertion and removal. The black finish matches the understated look expected of a handgun accessory, and the slide-on design with set-screw retention keeps installation straightforward. For shooters using a sub-compact Springfield platform, this is a simple way to make extended magazines more comfortable and more natural to handle.

About Pachmayr

Pachmayr was founded by Frank Pachmayr in 1929 and built its reputation around practical firearm accessories and gunsmithing-oriented products. The brand’s custom gun shop was located in Los Angeles, California, and over time Pachmayr became especially well known for products that improve shooter comfort and control. Its first recoil pad appeared in 1949, and Pachmayr rubber handgun grips entered the market in the early 1960s.

Today, Pachmayr is known for making handgun grips, recoil pads, gunsmithing tools, and shooting accessories. The brand joined Lyman in 1996, and its manufacturing plant relocated to Prescott Valley, Arizona, in 2014. Across categories, Pachmayr is associated with durable field-use designs and with materials such as Decelerator in recoil-reducing products, making it a familiar name for shooters looking for functional upgrades rather than purely cosmetic parts.
