Pachmayr Grip Extender for Springfield XDS

• Improved grip length: The extender adds usable gripping surface to the Springfield XDS magazine, helping the little finger stay on the pistol for steadier control and more consistent handling.
• Factory-matched shape and texture: Its profile is made to follow the pistol’s lines, so the extension feels integrated in the hand and preserves a clean, original-looking fit.
• High-strength polymer construction: The polymer body keeps weight low while standing up to regular carry, range use, and repeated magazine changes.
• No added magazine capacity: This version focuses on comfort and control rather than altering round count, making it a straightforward handling upgrade for the XDS platform.
• Two-pack format: Supplied as a pair, it equips multiple magazines at once and keeps the setup consistent between reloads.

About the Pachmayr Accessories Series

Pachmayr Accessories covers a broad range of practical shooting upgrades built around better control, comfort, and handling. The series includes handgun and revolver grips, rifle grips, and recoil pads for rifles and shotguns, reflecting Pachmayr’s long-standing focus on parts that improve how a firearm feels in real use rather than changing its basic function. Within the handgun segment, the line spans everything from slip-on rubber grips to laminate and G10 options, giving shooters solutions for concealed carry pistols, service handguns, revolvers, and sporting rifles.

A defining trait of the series is its emphasis on fit-specific designs and straightforward installation. Products are shaped for particular firearms or grip frames so they sit naturally in the hand and preserve reliable operation. Across the range, the design philosophy is practical: add traction where it matters, improve recoil management where possible, and make compact firearms easier to hold without unnecessary bulk. In that context, accessories such as grip extenders serve shooters who want a more secure purchase on small-frame pistols while keeping the firearm compact and familiar in handling.

About the Pachmayr Grip Extender for Springfield XDS

The Pachmayr Grip Extender for Springfield XDS is a simple handling upgrade for shooters who want a more secure hold on a compact carry pistol. The XDS platform is easy to conceal, but its shorter grip can leave the little finger unsupported. By adding extra gripping surface at the base of the magazine, this extender gives the hand a fuller purchase and helps the pistol feel more settled during presentation, recoil, and follow-up shots. For defensive practice and everyday range use alike, that added contact can make the pistol easier to index consistently from shot to shot.

This model is built from polymer, which keeps the part light at 60.00 g while remaining suitable for repeated handling and magazine changes. Its black finish and model-specific form are intended to match the Springfield XDS closely, so the extension looks and feels like a natural continuation of the grip rather than an oversized add-on. Just as importantly, this version is designed to improve comfort and control without increasing magazine capacity. That makes it a good fit for shooters who want better ergonomics while keeping the pistol’s magazine configuration unchanged. Because the extenders are supplied in a two-pack, it is also easy to set up multiple magazines with the same grip length and maintain a consistent feel during reloads.

About Pachmayr

Frank Pachmayr founded Pachmayr in 1929, establishing a brand that became closely associated with practical firearm upgrades and workshop tools. Pachmayr is known for making handgun grips, recoil pads, gunsmithing tools, and shooting accessories, with a product range that serves both sporting and defensive firearms. The company introduced its first recoil pad in 1949, and Pachmayr rubber handgun grips reached the market in the early 1960s, helping define the brand’s reputation for functional grip design. Pachmayr later became part of Lyman in 1996, linking the brand with a broader group of established shooting-equipment products. In this category, Pachmayr remains especially well known for grip shapes and materials developed to improve control, comfort, and practical handling on handguns and long guns.
