Hello,
I have a Sako M995 in 300 win mag, with an old Leupold scope with 1" tube. I'd like to install a new Leupold VX5hd 3-15x56mm scope with 30mm tube. Are you able to help me select the lowest ring height that would work?

by Dan Dye

Dear Sir!

For your Sako M995 in .300 Win Mag with a Leupold VX‑5HD 3‑15x56 (30 mm tube), 14 mm rings are the lowest we would recommend.

For any additional questions or assistance, please contact us at [email protected]

Hello, I have a tikka tx3 lite and I want to fix a scope leupold 3.5x10x40 with 30mm tube. Which ring height do I need ? 4 or 6mm ? Thanks !

by Robin

Dear Sir,

For your Tikka T3x Lite with a Leupold 3.5–10×40 scope (30 mm tube), we recommend a 8 mm high mount.

Hi,
I have a Sako 90 peak Carbon with a picatinny rail. Mounting a schmidt and bender 3-12x50 scope. I would love to know your recommendation for mounting rings. Ideally in stainless and optilock if possible. Many thanks in advance. Regards, Derek

by Derek Moore

Dear Sir!

The Sako 90 peak Carbon has an integrated Picatinny rail on top, so all Picatinny rings under the following link should fit perfectly for your Schmidt & Bender with a 30mm main tube:

https://www.optics-trade.eu/si/mounts/shopby/compatibility_below-picatinny_rail/compatibility_above-30_mm.html

Optilock, unfortunately, does not make such rings.

If you want the rings in silver (stainless) then these options are available:

https://www.optics-trade.eu/en/mounts/shopby/manufacturer-eaw/color-silver/compatibility_below-picatinny_rail/compatibility_above-30_mm.html

Thank you for your understanding.

Hello,

I have a Tikka T3x 270 Winchester and a S&B Zenith 3-12x50 which optilock bases and rings would I need?

Thank you

Ed

by Edward

Dear Sir!

The BH height of the mounts that you need for a normal clearance between the scope and the barrel is approximately 14mm.

This would mean that you will need:

1. Optilock bases (BH 8.4mm): https://www.optics-trade.eu/en/optilock-tikka-base.html

2. Optilock rings (BH 6mm): https://www.optics-trade.eu/en/optilock-scope-mount-rings-tikka-sako-30-0-mm.html

Alternatively, we could suggest using a Picatinny rail and a pair of scope rings with a BH 8mm height.

Please check such assembly on the following link: https://optics-trade.eu/configurator/view?id=fdad9809-9ffe-4844-a75c-26f7f5beb2b4

Dear Sir I need to put a Swarovski scope 1.7-10x42 or 2-12x50 on a Sako 85 223 rem and I want the scope to be as low as possible on the rifle. Will the optilock ring BH height 4 mm be suitable for my needs? Thank you very much

by michele speranza

Dear Sir,

thank you for contacting us.

Please note that the most optimal BH height for the Swarovski 1.7-10x42 model is 9mm and for 2-12x50 is 13mm. You can find more information regarding this here: https://www.optics-trade.eu/blog/scope-mounts-bh-height-and-kr-extension/.

Thank you for your understanding.

If you will need any additional information please do not hesitate to contact us again.

Hello. I have a Tikka T3X Hunter left hand action, with a Swarovski Z6i 2.4-15x56. what optilock ring height I need, so that the scope does not touches the barrell? Thanks

by Liviu

The height of your complete configuration (base + rings) should be approximately 16 mm in order to work perfectly. The height of the base is approximately 8 mm, which means that you will need to choose 10 mm rings. Your complete height should then be around 18 mm, which will be enough.

Dear, I'm asking for your help regarding the selection of Optilock rings for the Sako Bavarian carbine and the Zeiss v6 2.5-15x56 scope, I'm undecided between 6 and 10 mm. Please advise L.p. Igor

Poštovani, molim Vašu pomoć vezanu za odabir Optilock prstenova za karabin Sako Bavarian i optku Zeiss v6 2,5-15x56, dvoumim se između 6 i 10 mm. Molim savjet L.p. Igor

by Igor

The minimum BH-height for this riflescope is around 16mm. If the rings will be mounted with the bases directly on the rifle, we would recommend a BH-height of 14mm. In the case of mounting on a picatinny rail, we recommend rings with a height of 10 mm.

Gentlemen, I am trying to purchase 1 piece of ERAMATIC Swing (Pivot) mount, Sako 85, 30.0mm and 1 piece of Optilock Scope Mount Rings, Tikka - Sako, 30.0 mm - Rings Only. However, when I order on the website, a window opens (BH height) for me to make a choice and 30.0 mm does not appear among the options. I would like some guidance. The same thing happens with Rings. The Leupold scope that will be used on the SAKO KODIAC 85 has a 30mm tube. I would like to know how to order the parts and the appropriate ring size to use.

by Cleider

The ring diameter of the mount which you are referring to indeed is 30 mm, however in the BH height section you can simply choose between the different heights of rings (e.g., 4, 6, 10, or 14 mm).
