Nightforce 8-32x56 (1/8 MOA)

• 8-32x magnification range: This wide zoom span gives the scope the flexibility to move from precise load development and short-range benchrest work to silhouette and other target disciplines where seeing fine aiming detail matters.
• 56 mm objective lens: The large front lens supports a bright, easy-to-read sight picture at higher magnifications, helping shooters hold more precisely when mirage, target contrast, or fading light make aiming harder.
• 1/8 MOA target adjustments: Fine click values allow careful, repeatable corrections without over-adjusting, which is especially useful when chasing very small point-of-impact changes on paper.
• Second focal plane illuminated reticle: The reticle keeps the same apparent size through the zoom range, so the aiming point remains easy to see at both low and high power, while red illumination helps the reticle stand out against dark targets.
• Adjustable objective parallax: Parallax correction from 10 m to infinity helps keep the target and reticle on the same focal plane, reducing aiming error and sharpening the image for close and long-distance precision shooting.

About the Nightforce Benchrest Series

The Nightforce Benchrest series has been part of the company’s competition riflescope range for over 25 years, built specifically for shooters who value precise aiming, repeatable adjustments, and a clean optical image over unnecessary complexity. The family is aimed at benchrest competitors and precision target shooters, with the 8-32x56mm version oriented toward short-range benchrest and silhouette work, while the 12-42x56mm model is intended for long-range benchrest and F-Class use.

Across the series, Nightforce uses a 30 mm main tube, second focal plane reticles, 1/8 MOA click adjustments, and adjustable-objective parallax that starts at 25 yards and extends to infinity. This configuration reflects a design philosophy centered on fine correction and stable aiming at known distances, where shooters often work from supported positions and need to tune the image carefully to the target. Analog reticle illumination adds visibility when the aiming point would otherwise blend into the background, while the high-magnification format and large objective lens support the detailed target view expected from dedicated competition optics.

About the Nightforce 8-32x56 (1/8 MOA)

The Nightforce 8-32x56 (1/8 MOA) is a dedicated target riflescope built for shooters who need fine adjustment control and a highly detailed image rather than a general-purpose field setup. Its 8-32x magnification range gives it useful flexibility: lower settings make it easier to settle behind the rifle and acquire the full target picture, while the upper end provides the precision needed to read small aiming marks and hold consistently on tiny scoring areas. Combined with the 56.00 mm objective lens, the scope maintains a bright image that remains practical even when magnification is pushed high.

The optical layout is supported by a fully multicoated lens system, a 75.00 mm eye relief, and a fast focus eyepiece, allowing the shooter to set the reticle sharply and maintain a consistent sight picture from shot to shot. Its SFP reticle keeps the reticle size visually constant through the zoom range, which suits deliberate target shooting where a familiar aiming appearance matters. Red illumination is useful when the reticle needs more contrast against dark bullseyes or shaded targets, even though it is not intended for bright daylight use.

Mechanically, this model is tuned for precision correction. The 1/8 MOA clicks allow very small point-of-impact changes, while the 50.00 MOA elevation and windage travel provide enough adjustment range for disciplined target setups. Objective parallax adjustment from 10 m to infinity helps sharpen the target image and reduce apparent reticle shift across a wide range of distances. With a 30 mm tube, nitrogen filling, and waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction, the scope is built to stay consistent through transport, changing weather, and repeated range use.

About NightForce

Nightforce Optics began in 1992 when Lightforce USA entered the U.S. market under the Nightforce name. The company is headquartered in Orofino, Idaho, United States, and focuses on riflescopes, spotting scopes, and related accessories. Its riflescope lineup includes families such as ATACR, NXS, NX8, SHV, Competition, and Precision Benchrest, covering tactical, hunting, and competition applications.

Nightforce is known for mechanical precision and careful optical assembly. The company uses optical indexing, matching and aligning scope lenses by hand, and it developed the ZeroStop system to let shooters return elevation to a chosen zero point quickly and reliably. That emphasis on repeatable tracking and durable construction has made Nightforce a well-established name among shooters who depend on precise adjustments and consistent performance from their optics.
