Meprolight Tru-Dot for Glock 42, 43, 43X, 48

• Self-Illuminated Tritium: The Tru-Dot sight set stays visible in low light and at night without batteries, so the pistol remains ready for defensive carry, duty use, or home protection at any hour.
• Three-Dot Sight Picture: A fixed 3-dot alignment system gives a familiar, easy-to-read reference that helps speed up front-sight acquisition and keeps sight alignment intuitive under stress.
• Steel Construction: The steel housing stands up better to daily holster wear, recoil, and hard handling than lighter-duty materials, making it a practical upgrade for a carry pistol.
• Direct-Fit Glock Compatibility: Built for Glock 42, 43, 43X, and 48 pistols, this sight set is intended as a replacement for factory sights, giving these slimline handguns a more capable day-and-night aiming system.
• Fixed Defensive Setup: With a fixed front and rear arrangement and a square rear notch, the sight picture stays simple and durable, with no adjustment controls to snag or shift in routine use.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot Series

Meprolight Tru-Dot is a family of handgun night sights built around a simple idea: keep the sight picture consistent from daylight to darkness. The series includes fixed, adjustable, and suppressor-height variants, covering a wide range of pistol platforms and shooting roles. Across the line, the defining feature is tritium illumination, which provides a visible aiming reference in low-light and nighttime conditions without relying on batteries or activation buttons.

Within the handgun range, Tru-Dot sights are designed as replacement front-and-rear sets for compatible pistols, making them relevant for concealed carry, service use, and general defensive shooting. The familiar three-dot layout remains one of the series’ key strengths because it preserves a straightforward sight picture that many shooters already know well. Depending on the model, the series also includes different dot color combinations and, in adjustable versions, rear-sight controls for windage and elevation. That broad format makes the Tru-Dot line suitable for shooters who want a conventional iron-sight solution with dependable low-light visibility and a durable metal construction.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot for Glock 42, 43, 43X, 48

Meprolight Tru-Dot for Glock 42, 43, 43X, 48 is tailored to the slimline Glock platform, where compact dimensions matter but sight visibility still has to remain fast and dependable. On pistols commonly chosen for concealed carry and personal defense, the benefit of a self-illuminated tritium sight set is straightforward: the aiming reference stays available in dim interiors, transitional light, and nighttime conditions without any battery management. That makes this handgun sight set especially relevant for a pistol that may be carried daily and expected to work immediately.

The sight picture uses a 3-dot alignment with a square rear sight, giving the shooter a familiar reference that is easy to center quickly. In practical use, that helps balance speed and precision better than a plain black factory setup, especially when the target or background is hard to separate in poor light. Because the system is fixed, there are no exposed adjustment elements to complicate the draw or add unnecessary bulk to a compact handgun.

The steel construction also matters on these Glock models. Slim carry pistols see frequent holstering, close body contact, and regular recoil in a small frame, so a robust sight body is important for long-term durability. Finished in black, the set keeps a clean, duty-oriented appearance while giving Glock 42, 43, 43X, and 48 owners a practical upgrade for everyday defensive use.
