ABOUT THE Lyman Gas Checks .35

The Lyman Gas Checks .35, available in a 1000-pack, are an essential component for any serious handloader utilizing cast bullets in .35 caliber firearms. These small yet critical metal cups are designed to be crimped onto the base of lead bullets, providing a protective seal against the hot gases generated during firing. This protection is paramount as it prevents the melting and deformation of the soft lead base, thereby preserving the bullet's aerodynamic integrity and enhancing accuracy. Lyman's commitment to quality ensures these gas checks offer a consistently tight fit, minimizing gas blow-by and contributing to more uniform velocities and reduced leading in the barrel. They are particularly vital for reloading enthusiasts seeking to achieve match-grade precision from their cast bullet loads, whether for competitive shooting, hunting, or general target practice. Their robust metal construction underscores Lyman's dedication to durable and reliable reloading components.
