Konus Pro 2-8x28

• 2-8x magnification range: covers the short-to-medium distances typical of stalking and general hunting, giving a wider view at 2x for fast target acquisition and more precision at 8x when the shot stretches out.
• Illuminated 30/30 reticle: the red and blue illumination helps the aiming point stand out against dark cover or low-contrast backgrounds, while the simple reticle layout stays easy to read under field pressure.
• Compact 210 mm body: the short overall length keeps the riflescope easy to mount on lighter hunting rifles and helps maintain a well-balanced handling feel in the field.
• Multicoated optics: the lens coatings support better light transmission and contrast, which is especially useful at dawn, dusk, and in shaded woodland where detail can otherwise fade quickly.
• Nitrogen-filled, waterproof construction: the sealed tube resists internal fogging and weather exposure, so the scope remains dependable when moving between temperature changes or hunting in rain and damp conditions.

About the Konuspro Series

The Konuspro series is Konus’s established sporting riflescope family for hunters and shooters who want practical features in a straightforward format. Within the company’s lineup, Konuspro covers a broad spread of applications, from general hunting and varmint use to long-range and shotgun-specific setups, which makes it one of the most varied riflescope ranges in the brand’s catalog.

A defining characteristic of the series is its use of glass-etched reticles. Konus describes these reticles as etched onto precision optical glass, a construction chosen to reduce the risk of breakage or misalignment compared with more delicate wire-reticle designs. Across the wider family, the range includes different configurations such as ballistic reticles, first focal plane models, and electronically selectable reticle systems, showing that Konuspro riflescopes are built around application-specific aiming solutions rather than a one-format approach.

In practical terms, the series is aimed at shooters who need dependable optical performance, clear reticle presentation, and field-ready mechanical design without unnecessary complexity. That makes the Konuspro line a natural fit for hunting optics, recreational target shooting, and general-purpose rifle setups where durability, usability, and a sensible feature set matter most.

About the Konus Pro 2-8x28

The Konus Pro 2-8x28 is a compact variable-power riflescope built for fast handling rifles and the kind of hunting where distances can change quickly. Its 2-8x magnification range gives it more flexibility than a fixed low-power optic: at 2x it offers a broad field of view for moving game or close woodland shots, while 8x provides the extra image scale needed for more careful shot placement across open ground. Combined with the 28.00 mm objective lens, the scope stays trim and lightweight rather than adding unnecessary bulk to a stalking rifle.

The aiming system is centered on an illuminated 30/30 reticle in the second focal plane. This keeps the reticle visually consistent through the zoom range, which many hunters prefer because the sight picture remains familiar at every setting. The red and blue illumination helps the reticle stand out when the target is set against dark timber, shadowed brush, or low evening light, while the simple reticle pattern remains uncluttered for quick shooting.

Mechanically, this model uses capped turrets with 1/2 MOA clicks, a practical arrangement for a hunting riflescope that is expected to hold its settings securely during transport and field carry. The waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction, nitrogen filling, and multicoated optics all support reliable use in changing weather. At 290.00 g and 210.00 mm long, it is especially well suited to compact hunting rifles where balance and easy carry matter as much as optical performance.

About Konus

Konus was founded in 1979 in Verona, Italy, and has built its reputation around optics for hunting and target shooting. The company’s range extends across riflescopes and other outdoor optics, with a product mix designed to cover practical field use rather than a single narrow specialty. This broad experience in sporting optics is especially relevant in riflescope design, where durability, clear reticle presentation, and straightforward operation are central requirements.

Within its shooting-optics catalog, Konus has developed several riflescope families, including the Konuspro, Konuspro M-30, and T-30 lines. The brand is also known for using laser-etched reticles, a design approach intended to improve reticle stability and long-term reliability. Konus Italia Group S.p.A. is based in Settimo di Pescantina, Italy, and the company remains closely associated with accessible sporting optics for hunters and recreational shooters.
