HI VIZ Interchangeable Front Sight, STI Edge

• Interchangeable LitePipes: The front sight uses HIVIZ’s removable LitePipe system, letting shooters change the sight color to suit lighting conditions or personal preference without replacing the whole sight.
• Fiber-optic front sight picture: A bright red fiber-optic aiming point stands out clearly in daylight, helping the eye pick up the front sight faster for practical shooting and range use.
• Steel construction: The steel body gives the sight the rigidity needed for regular holster use and repeated shooting, while keeping the installation solid on the pistol.
• Fixed front sight design: A fixed configuration keeps the setup simple and durable, making it well suited to shooters who want a clean, repeatable sight picture without extra adjustment controls.
• STI Edge fit: This model is made for STI Edge and Edge variants, so it is aimed at shooters who want a platform-specific front sight rather than a generic replacement.

About the Hi Viz Interchangeable Sight Series

The Hi Viz Interchangeable Sight series sits within HIVIZ’s Original Sights family and is built around one practical idea: a durable sight body combined with interchangeable LitePipes. Rather than locking the shooter into a single color, these sights allow the LitePipe to be removed, replaced, and reused, which makes it easier to tune the sight picture for changing light, target backgrounds, or simple personal preference. That flexibility is one of the defining traits of the series.

Within the range, HIVIZ offers platform-specific versions for popular handguns such as Colt 1911, FN FNS and FNX, Glock, and other firearms, showing that the series is designed around proper fit rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. The line is aimed at competitive shooters and everyday shooters who want a brighter, easier-to-track front sight without moving to a more complex optic system. Depending on the model, LitePipe color options can include red, green, white, or black, giving the series a practical edge for users who want to tailor visibility to the task at hand.

About the HI VIZ Interchangeable Front Sight, STI Edge

The HI VIZ Interchangeable Front Sight, STI Edge is a handgun front sight made specifically for STI Edge and Edge variants. Its main advantage is a bright fiber-optic front sight that gives the shooter a more immediate visual reference than a plain black blade, which is especially useful in daylight, on the range, and in action-oriented pistol shooting where front-sight acquisition needs to be quick and consistent. The red sight color creates a clear focal point, helping the eye return to the front sight during rapid strings and transitions.

What sets this model apart from a fixed-color fiber-optic sight is the interchangeable LitePipe system. That design gives the shooter the option to change the visible pipe color to better match ambient light or target contrast, which can make the sight picture easier to read across different shooting environments. Instead of replacing the entire sight to try a different color, the user can simply swap the LitePipe and keep the same steel sight body in place.

The sight uses a steel construction and a fixed setup, which favors durability and simplicity. There are no adjustment mechanisms to add bulk or complication, so the sight remains straightforward and robust. As a dedicated handgun fiber optic sight for the STI Edge platform, it suits shooters who want a brighter front reference while keeping the handling and profile of traditional iron sights.

About HiViz

HIVIZ began in 1996 with a single shooting-related product and grew into a specialist maker of sights and accessories for handguns, shotguns, and rifles. The company is headquartered in Laramie, Wyoming, United States, and its product range includes fiber-optic sights, tritium sights, recoil pads, and related shooting accessories. That focus on visible, practical sighting systems is central to the brand’s identity.

Among HIVIZ’s notable product lines are TriViz and CompSight, along with its removable LitePipes, which are designed to be reused and swapped as needed. The company also developed the LiteWave concept with an exoskeleton structure and an integral LitePipe locking system, and later introduced LiteWave H3 sights that combine tritium with fiber optics. This background makes HIVIZ particularly relevant in the field of handgun sight upgrades where visibility, speed, and simple customization matter.
