GRS Thumbhole, Blaser R93 Professional

• Thumbhole Ergonomics: The thumbhole layout gives the firing hand a more natural, relaxed position, helping maintain steadier rifle control during unsupported field shots and longer sessions at the range.
• Adjustable Cheek Piece: The height-adjustable cheek piece makes it easier to achieve consistent eye alignment behind the scope, which supports faster sight acquisition and more repeatable shooting positions.
• Birch Laminate Construction: The laminate build combines stiffness with good resistance to changing weather conditions, giving the stock a stable feel in hunting use across varied terrain and temperatures.
• Glass Bedding Interface: With glass bedding specified for this inlet, the stock is set up for a more precise action fit, which helps support consistent accuracy and dependable recoil handling.
• Field-Oriented Adjustability: A 390.00 mm length of pull, 40.00 mm forend width and GRS SpeedLock-adjustable design make the stock adaptable to different shooting positions without adding unnecessary bulk.

About the GRS Thumbhole Series

GRS Thumbhole is the company’s first thumbhole stock and sits within its laminate-stock range as a practical option for hunters and recreational shooters who want a more supportive grip shape than a conventional hunting stock. GRS positions the series for use both in the field and at the shooting range, which explains its balance of classic stock lines, ergonomic control and straightforward adjustability.

The series is built from birch laminate with an oiled finish, giving it the solid feel and visual character associated with laminated wood while retaining the dimensional stability needed for regular outdoor use. A key part of the design is GRS SpeedLock, which allows stock fit to be adapted more easily than on fixed hunting stocks. Across the series, GRS offers multiple inlets for different rifle brands and actions, and the Thumbhole is also available in several color options including Brown, Green Mountain Camo, Nordic Wolf, Orange and Black. The result is a stock family aimed at shooters who value a more controlled grip, repeatable head position and a laminate construction suited to real hunting conditions.

About the GRS Thumbhole, Blaser R93 Professional

GRS Thumbhole, Blaser R93 Professional is built for shooters who want to give the Blaser R93 Professional a more ergonomic stock for hunting and general shooting use. Its thumbhole design promotes a straighter wrist angle and a secure hand position, which is especially useful when shooting from improvised rests, prone positions or uneven terrain where stable rifle handling matters. For applications such as alpine hunting, driven hunt, stalking and woodland hunting, that added control can make the rifle feel more settled during quick target engagement as well as deliberate shot placement.

The stock uses a laminate construction and weighs 1300.00 g, giving it enough substance for a stable shooting feel without moving too far away from a practical hunting setup. Its 390.00 mm length of pull and 40.00 mm forend width support a comfortable hold, while the adjustable cheek piece helps align the eye consistently with a riflescope. That matters in practice because a repeatable cheek weld reduces the need to hunt for the sight picture when mounting the rifle quickly.

This version is specified with glass bedding, and for the Blaser R93 Offroad/Professional inlet GRS requires glass bedding. In practical terms, that helps create a more secure and consistent action-to-stock fit, which is important for maintaining accuracy and managing recoil, particularly with more powerful chamberings up to .375 HH. The stock is not foldable, keeping the design simple and rigid for field use where reliability and a consistent shooting interface take priority.

About GRS

GRS began in 2010 in Grodås, Hornindal, Norway, growing out of a family business that started in 1983 as Grodås Møbler AS, a furniture manufacturer. That background is relevant because stock making depends not only on shooting knowledge, but also on shaping materials for strength, fit and ergonomics. GRS specializes in rifle stocks for hunting and shooting and today produces laminate, composite and aluminum chassis stocks for a wide range of rifle platforms.

The company is particularly known for combining practical field ergonomics with adjustable stock geometry. Its product lines include Hunter Light, Sporter, Bifrost, Fenris, Warg and Ragnarok, covering traditional hunting stocks through to more specialized chassis-style systems. One of the brand’s notable in-house solutions is GRS SpeedLock, an adjustment system used on its rifle stocks to simplify fit changes. GRS began making laminate rifle stocks in 2011, and that remains a core part of the brand’s identity for shooters who want the feel of a shaped stock with modern adjustability.
