GRS Thumbhole, Bergara B14 HMR SA

• Adjustable cheek piece: The built-in cheek piece adjustment helps align the eye naturally behind the scope, making it easier to maintain a consistent shooting position in the field or on the range.
• Thumbhole laminate stock: The thumbhole design gives the firing hand a secure, repeatable grip, while the laminate construction adds stiffness and stability compared with many basic factory stocks.
• Glass bedding: Glass bedding supports a more consistent fit between action and stock, which helps the rifle return to the same position shot after shot and can support practical accuracy.
• Field-ready dimensions: At 1300.00 g and 740.00 mm overall length, the stock balances solid handling with manageable carry weight for hunting use.
• Built for versatile hunting use: This model is suited to alpine hunting, driven hunt, stalking, woodland hunting and general field use, giving it a broad role across different terrain and shooting positions.

About the GRS Thumbhole Series

GRS Thumbhole is the company’s first thumbhole stock design and sits within the brand’s laminate-stock range as a practical option for hunters and shooters who want a more supportive grip shape than a conventional sporter stock. GRS positions the series for field use and range shooting, so it is built to balance carrying comfort with the control needed for deliberate shot placement.

The series is made from birch laminate with an oiled finish, giving it the dense, stable feel laminate stocks are known for while keeping the traditional appearance many rifle owners prefer. A defining feature across the range is GRS SpeedLock adjustment, which allows the stock to be adapted more easily to the shooter’s build and optic setup. The Thumbhole family is offered in several finishes, including Brown, Green Mountain Camo, Nordic Wolf, Orange, and Black, and it is produced in versions for multiple rifle platforms. In the GRS lineup, the Thumbhole series serves shooters who want an ergonomic hunting stock with a more locked-in hand position and adjustable fit, without moving to a full competition-style chassis.

About the GRS Thumbhole, Bergara B14 HMR SA

GRS Thumbhole, Bergara B14 HMR SA is a laminate hunting stock made specifically for the Bergara B14 HMR SA platform, combining a supportive thumbhole grip with the more traditional feel of a stocked hunting rifle. Its shape is intended for shooters who want steadier hand placement and better control from improvised field positions, whether that means shooting in woodland, stalking over uneven ground, or taking supported shots in alpine terrain.

The thumbhole layout helps place the firing hand in a repeatable position, which can reduce unnecessary movement during the shot. That matters in practice because a stable wrist angle and secure grip make it easier to manage the rifle consistently, especially when shooting from sticks, a pack, or a natural rest. The adjustable cheek piece adds another important fit advantage by helping the shooter set proper eye alignment behind a scope, which improves comfort and supports faster sight acquisition.

Its laminate construction gives the stock a solid, rigid feel, while glass bedding helps create a more consistent interface between rifle and stock. With a 390.00 mm length of pull and 40.00 mm forend width, the stock is configured for practical field handling rather than bench-only use. The result is a stock that suits hunting rifles expected to cover different roles, from driven game and stalking to more deliberate shots where fit, control, and repeatability matter.

About GRS

GRS began in 2010 in Grodås, Hornindal, Norway, growing out of a family business that started in 1983 as Grodås Møbler AS, a furniture manufacturer. That background is relevant because stock making depends heavily on shaping materials for strength, ergonomics, and repeatable fit. GRS specializes in rifle stocks for hunting and shooting and produces laminate and composite rifle stocks as well as aluminum chassis stocks.

The company began making laminate rifle stocks in 2011 and has developed a broad lineup that includes Hunter Light, Sporter, Bifrost, Fenris, Warg, and Ragnarok. One of the brand’s notable stock technologies is GRS SpeedLock, used to simplify stock adjustment. Today, GRS Riflestocks AS remains headquartered in Hornindal, Norway and is known for combining practical field ergonomics with rifle-specific stock designs.
