GRS Lightweight Classic, Blanks

• Low Weight Laminate Build: At 900.00 g, this stock keeps a rifle easier to carry over long distances, which matters on steep ground, during stalking, and whenever a lighter hunting setup reduces fatigue.
• Adjustable Cheekpiece: The push-button cheekpiece adjustment helps align the eye naturally behind the optic, giving a more repeatable head position and steadier sight picture in field shooting positions.
• Classic Ambidextrous Grip: The classic grip shape suits a broad range of shooting styles and supports comfortable handling for both right- and left-handed users without the bulk of a more specialized stock design.
• Laminate Strength with Added Grip Texture: The laminate construction and added grip texture provide a stable feel in changing weather, helping maintain control when hands are cold, wet, or gloved.
• Hunting-Focused Geometry: With a 325.00 mm length of pull, 45.00 mm forend width, and glass-bedding-ready design, the stock balances portability with the consistent rifle fit needed for practical hunting accuracy.

About the GRS Lightweight Classic Series

GRS Lightweight Classic is a modern laminate hunting-stock series built around the idea that a rifle stock can stay light without giving up the fit advantages that many hunters want. Introduced in the 2026 catalogue and still part of the current GRS laminate-stock range, the series is aimed squarely at lightweight rifles, mountain hunting, and other hunting styles where every gram matters. Its role in the lineup is clear: it offers a trimmer, more traditional alternative for hunters who prefer a classic profile but still want practical adjustability.

The series combines a lightweight birch-laminate construction with an ambidextrous classic grip, making it suitable for a broad range of users and shooting positions. A push-button cheekpiece mechanism allows quick comb-height adjustment, while spacers can extend the stock length by up to 4 cm for a better fit as clothing layers or shooter preference change. An oiled finish and standard slim barrel-channel design keep the stock visually understated and field-oriented, while the available color options and multiple inlets make the series adaptable to several popular hunting rifle platforms.

About the GRS Lightweight Classic, Blanks

The GRS Lightweight Classic, Blanks is built for hunters who want the handling benefits of a lighter rifle stock while keeping the solid feel of laminate. With a weight of 900.00 g and an overall length of 700.00 mm, it is especially well suited to alpine hunting and general stalking rifles where reduced carry weight makes a real difference over a full day in the field. The classic profile keeps the rifle streamlined, so it carries easily in the hand, on a sling, or through dense terrain.

This model stands out by pairing a 325.00 mm length of pull with an adjustable cheekpiece, giving the shooter a better chance of achieving consistent eye alignment with a riflescope without adding unnecessary bulk. That matters in practical hunting use, where a fast, natural mount often counts more than bench-style adjustability. The 45.00 mm forend width keeps the front end slim and easy to grasp, while the added grip texture improves control in wet or cold conditions.

The laminate construction gives the stock a stable, rigid feel, and the glass bedding setup supports a more consistent rifle-to-stock interface for shooters who want to get the most from their action and barrel combination. Because it is not foldable, the design stays simple and field-focused, prioritizing low weight, clean lines, and dependable handling over extra mechanisms that add mass or complexity.

About GRS

GRS traces its history to 2010 in Grodås, Hornindal, Norway, while the family business behind it began in 1983 as Grodås Møbler AS, a furniture manufacturer. That background helps explain the company’s emphasis on stock shaping, ergonomics, and practical fit. GRS Riflestocks AS is headquartered in Hornindal and focuses on rifle stocks for hunting and shooting, with product families that include Hunter Light, Sporter, Bifrost, Fenris, Warg, and Ragnarok.

The company works across laminate, composite, and aluminum chassis stocks, giving it a broad presence in both hunting and precision-oriented rifle furniture. GRS began making laminate rifle stocks in 2011, and one of its best-known design elements is the GRS SpeedLock adjustment system used on its rifle stocks. In practical terms, GRS has built its reputation around stocks that combine field-ready durability with a more adjustable fit than conventional factory hunting stocks.
