ABOUT THE EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC TELRAD DEW SHIELD

The Explore Scientific TELRAD Dew Shield is an indispensable accessory specifically engineered to protect the optics of your Telrad Reflex Sight from dew accumulation. Unlike simply wiping the lens, this shield provides a passive, highly effective means of preventing moisture condensation, which is crucial for maintaining clear views during extended observing sessions. It achieves this by extending the effective length around the Telrad's glass, creating an insulated air pocket that keeps the optical surface above the dew point. This simple yet ingenious design ensures your finder scope remains fully functional even in humid conditions. Its construction with durable ABS plastic makes it a robust addition to any astronomer's setup, ensuring long-term reliability. Proper use of original accessories like this dew shield can significantly prolong the lifetime and performance of your optical instruments.
