Dörr Under Bonnet LED Light Vario XL-2000

• Adjustable 1200-2200 mm span: The telescopic support rails let the light fit under the bonnet of passenger cars as well as larger vehicles, so the same work light covers a wide range of workshop tasks.
• Up to 1200 lumen output with two brightness levels: Strong illumination helps reveal detail in engine bays and work areas, while the lower setting extends runtime when full power is not necessary.
• 70 SMD LEDs with rotating light cover: The clear, diffused and glare-reducing sections help shape the beam for the task, making it easier to light reflective parts or confined spaces more comfortably.
• Cordless 18650 Li-Ion power system: Battery operation keeps cables out of the way, which is especially useful when moving around a vehicle or working where mains power is inconvenient.
• Aluminium and polymer construction: The robust housing is built for workshop use, with shock-resistant construction and weather-resistant design that stands up better to regular handling.

About the Vario Series

The Dörr Vario series is designed around adjustability and practical workshop lighting. Rather than using a fixed-format lamp, these models focus on adapting to different mounting widths and working positions, which makes them suitable for vehicle maintenance, garage work, storage areas and general repair tasks. The series sits in Dörr’s utility lighting range as a solution for users who need broad, even illumination over a work surface instead of a narrow handheld beam.

A defining feature of the Vario concept is its combination of extendable mounting hardware and efficient LED output. This approach allows the light to be positioned securely without extra tools, while keeping the illuminated area close to the work for better visibility. In practice, that means fewer shadows in engine bays, under shelves or around larger equipment. The series also emphasizes cordless operation, durable housings and simple controls, so it suits both professional workshop environments and demanding home use where reliability and fast setup matter more than unnecessary complexity.

About the Dörr Under Bonnet LED Light Vario XL-2000

The Dörr Under Bonnet LED Light Vario XL-2000 is built specifically for lighting wide work areas such as engine compartments, boot spaces and workshop benches. Its extendable frame covers a mounting width from 1200 mm to 2200 mm, which gives it far more flexibility than a standard inspection lamp. That wider span is especially useful when working on larger vehicles, where a compact light often leaves dark areas at the edges of the bay.

The lighting system uses 70 SMD LEDs with a maximum output of 1200 lumen, giving the lamp enough reach and spread for close mechanical work. Two brightness levels make it easier to balance output against runtime: full power for detailed inspection, and a reduced setting when broad ambient light is enough. The rotating cover adds another practical layer, because it can present clear, diffused or glare-reducing sections depending on the surface being illuminated. That helps when working around painted panels, polished metal or other reflective components.

For everyday handling, the aluminium rails and adjustable clamp system are designed for quick mounting and repositioning. Battery power from the integrated 18650 Li-Ion system keeps the work area free of trailing cables, while runtime reaches up to 10 hours at the lower output setting. With its robust construction, dimmable output and workshop-oriented form factor, this work light suits mechanics, garage users and anyone who needs stable overhead illumination in confined spaces.
