Celestron NexStar Evolution 8

1. Schmidt-Cassegrain Optical Design: The Celestron NexStar Evolution 8 features an 8-inch (203mm) Schmidt-Cassegrain (SCT) optical tube, a type of catadioptric telescope. This innovative design combines both mirrors and a corrector plate to deliver sharp, high-contrast images with a long focal length in a remarkably compact and portable package, making it versatile for both planetary detail and deep-sky observation.

2. Integrated Wi-Fi and App Control: This telescope is equipped with a built-in Wi-Fi module, allowing seamless control via the free Celestron SkyPortal mobile app on your smartphone or tablet. The app provides intuitive navigation through the night sky, automated alignment procedures, and access to a vast database of celestial objects, enhancing the user experience with modern convenience.

3. Long-Lasting Lithium-ion Battery: Powering the advanced GoTo mount is an integrated, high-capacity rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, offering up to 10 hours of continuous use on a single charge. This eliminates the need for external power sources or disposable batteries, providing exceptional portability and freedom for observing sessions away from power outlets.

4. Advanced GoTo Mount and Worm Gears: The Evolution 8 features an advanced, all-metal single-fork arm alt-azimuth mount with robust worm gears. This precise mechanism ensures smooth, accurate tracking of celestial objects once aligned, minimizing vibrations and providing stable views for both visual observation and introductory astrophotography.
