The Helos BTR GEN2 4–20×50 features a 30 mm main tube and 50 mm objective, delivering a wide field of view from 8.5 m to 27.9 ft @100 yds (27.9–5.6 ft) with 3.6” eye relief. What mount would you recommend to use for this optic in combination with a Ruger Precision Rifle in .308? Would the "Spuhr QD mount for Picatinny, 30 mm, 0 MOA" with 23mm height over bore suitable?

Any mount with the BH height of at least 16mm will work. If you wish to have the extended mount or not is a matter of taste and not function.
