AD VLTOR light mount

• Lightweight aluminum construction: At 50.00 g, this mount adds very little bulk to the rifle, helping keep a weapon-mounted light setup compact and easy to handle during fast movement or positional shooting.
• Picatinny rail compatibility: The mount is designed for Picatinny Rail interfaces, making it a practical choice for rifles and chassis systems that use the most common accessory mounting standard.
• Made in the USA: Built in the USA, the mount reflects American Defense’s focus on domestic manufacturing for shooters who value consistent machining and assembly standards in firearm accessories.
• Purpose-built accessory mount: As part of the AD Accessories range, this model is intended to secure a weapon light in a stable position, supporting a cleaner rifle setup for hunting, tactical, or recreational use.
• Durable metal body: The aluminium housing provides a good balance of strength and low weight, which matters on hard-use rifles where accessory mounts must stay secure without making the platform unnecessarily heavy.

About the AD Accessories Series

American Defense’s AD Accessories series covers a broad range of firearm add-ons, including light mounts, bipod mounts, and rail components, rather than focusing on optics mounts alone. Within the company’s lineup, this family serves shooters who want the same practical design approach found in American Defense’s better-known quick-detach mounting systems, but applied to supporting accessories that complete a rifle setup. The series is aimed at law enforcement, military, competition, hunting, and recreational users, so the emphasis stays on secure attachment, straightforward handling, and compatibility across different firearm platforms.

Across the range, American Defense describes its mount products as using 6061-T6 aluminum with Type III hard-coat anodizing, reflecting a design philosophy built around low weight, durability, and resistance to field wear. A defining feature in the broader mount family is the company’s patented Auto Lock lever system, which is adjustable without proprietary tools and can be set to lock toward the front or rear of the mount. In practical terms, the AD Accessories series is built for users who want modular firearm accessories that integrate cleanly with modern rail-equipped rifles while keeping handling efficient and the overall setup robust.

About the AD VLTOR light mount

The AD VLTOR light mount is a compact mounting accessory built for shooters who need to add a weapon light to a Picatinny Rail setup without adding unnecessary weight. With a mass of just 50.00 g, it suits rifles that already carry optics, backup sights, or other accessories, where keeping the front end manageable matters for balance and speed. That makes it a sensible fit for practical rifle builds used in hunting, range work, or tactical applications where a light must be mounted securely but the rifle still needs to remain easy to shoulder and move.

The mount’s aluminium construction is important here because it keeps the unit light while still providing the rigidity expected from a firearm accessory mount. On a working rifle, that balance helps reduce unnecessary load without moving to a less durable material. As part of the American Defense AD Accessories family, this model follows the brand’s preference for straightforward, purpose-driven mounting solutions rather than oversized hardware or unnecessary complexity.

Compatibility with Picatinny Rail systems also gives the mount broad practical use across rifles and chassis platforms that rely on this standard. In use, that means easier integration with modern bolt-action and tactical-style rifles, including platforms where rail space must be used efficiently. The result is a light mount that focuses on secure placement, low added mass, and clean integration into a modular firearm setup.
