Zeiss Victory Diavari 3-12x56 T* (2FP) illum. first purpose are long range shots on hunts. Reticle placed in the second focal plane stays small on full magnification and the illumination makes it useful also in the dark. Zeiss Victory Diavari riflescopes are sorted into two different categories: one have the reticle seated in the first focal plane (1FP) and the second ones in the second focal plane (2FP). The 1FP reticle position riflescopes are designed for hunting in poor light conditions because the reticle is bigger compared to the target when you compare it to the 2FP riflescopes. The 2FP riflescopes are better at long range shooting since the reticle adjusts in size with magnification and it covers only the minimal surface of the target. Irrelevant to the reticle’s position, the Zeiss Victory Diavari riflescopes are designed with the following technologies: they are dry nitrogen filled to prevent dew accumulation at low temperatures, they have Zeiss T* lens coating to ensure excellent light transmission in the dark and good image sharpness with low chromatic aberration, the LocuTec outer coating prevents dew and dirt accumulation on the outer lens surfaces, they have adjustable oculars for users with glasses, a very robust housing made from one piece to endure even the hardest knocks. The M mark stands for Zeiss Victory Diavari riflescopes that have a mountable steel rail on the housing.
