The Conquest V4 3-12x56 riflescope is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-quality scope in the 1000€ price range.
Compared to other scopes in this price range, the Zeiss Conquest V4 3-12x56 scope is tailored for the needs of European hunters.
At the moment, it can only be mounted using rings, but Zeiss may release a model with a ZM/VM rail in the future.
The scope does not have a BDC turret, but Zeiss may release one in the future.
The scope features great illumination system.
Zeiss Conquest V4 series riflescopes feature a 4x zoom ratio. The excellent price-performance ratio and the optics are better than acceptable for the money.
Zeiss Conquest V4 Riflescopes are produced in Japan rather than Germany. This does not appear to have an impact on the optical quality.
Conquest V4 configuration models:
1-4x24 a driven hunt specialist
4-16x44 riflescope for stalking and
6-24x50 scope made for long-range hunting
3-12x56 scope is widely used in Europe when it comes to twilight hunting
The 3-12x56 model's field of view is decent, measuring 12.7 meters on 100 meters at the lowest magnification. The scope measures 37 centimeters in length and weighs about 610 grams.
Zeiss 3-12x56 scope can only be ordered with classic, capped hunting turrets. One click equals a 1/4 MOA, which means that one click moves the point of impact for approximately 0.7 centimeters on 100 meters. The top of the turret is rough, giving a firm grasp, but makes turret rotation simpler.
The scope's illumination is in the type of illuminated central dot, which is daytime bright. The user can comfortably look through the scope and see the dot in all kinds of lighting conditions. The fact that the user can choose from 10 illumination settings is a nice addition. There is an off switch between each intensity level, so you don't have to turn the turret all the way down to turn off the illumination.
The Conquest V4 3-12x56 riflescope comes with reticle 20 by default. The reticle is situated in the second focal plane. If the buyer prefers illuminated reticle 60, they will have to pay 100 euros extra.
Zeiss' new Conquest V4 3-12x56 scope isn't available with a ZM/VM rail underneath, for now. At the moment, the V4 scopes can only be mounted with rings.
