Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24 is a tactical scope that is incredibly well made, rugged and resistant and thus suitable for use on rifles of all calibers. It is waterproof and filled with argon to prevent fogging even at lower temperatures. It has a SFP reticle which makes it suitable for CQB and practical shooting, especially in combination with the fact that it’s a wide angle scope, it is a perfect choice to for close range and fast, competitive shooting. It has real 1x magnification and the capability to use with both eyes open, which will help even further in CQB shooting. Overall, it is a great little scope, with a great quality to price ratio. Vortex Viper PST (Precision Shooting Tactical) scopes are all made from one-piece tube milled from a solid piece of aircraft grade aluminum. All surfaces are hard anodized and very durable against scratches and nature elements. They can take a punch from any caliber and are waterproof and rugged. Truly meant to last. Outer surfaces are coated with ArmorTek protective coating that minimizes the treat of scratching the lenses. This coating also repels oil, salt and dust from lenses and especially protects them from fingerprint stains. Reticles are Glass-etched and protected with two layers of glass. This principle ensures optimal clarity and durability. All lenses have fully multi-coated surfaces with a Vortex XR coatings.
The daylight strong illumination of the reticle can be regulated in 10 intensity levels to enhance your shooting even in dim light. For those medium range shots, the reticle has a bullet drop compensation system that is true at 4x magnification. The reticle and its subtensions also always stay matched.
The turrets are capped and suitable for those that want them protected from any impact or movement. This makes the scope suitable for hunters or competitive shooters that prefer more rugged design and are prepared to trade that for that easy, quick access of the open-top ones. The turrets are resettable and include the innovative zero stop capability so you will always stay on target even when dialing the turrets back to zero, after some long range shots.
