The largest of the Viper PST family, with 6-24x this scope has also the highest magnification by far. With a 50mm lens and an overall length of 394mm, it is quite large, but no less rugged and reliable than its smaller PST counterparts. With a sturdy tube, coated lenses and both water and dust proof, it is a very durable scope. The resettable, zero stop turrets will remain at your favorite setting at all times, but as tactical/ are un-capped they offer rapid adjustments, so modifications can be made fast. A side focus turret also gives the possibility of adjusting the parallax. The reticle is EBR1 and has a possibility of ten levels of illumination in red color. It has a SFP reticle which is extremely thin even at 24x for minimal target coverage. It also has offers possibilities of both range estimations and Bullet Drop Compensations which are both true at maximum magnification. With a wide objective lens and a max exit eye at 8.3 mm, it will always ensure enough light for comfortable use. Considering the large magnification and long range set reticle, it is an impressive long distance tool, extremely precise and suitable even for long range competition shooting.
Vortex Viper PST (Precision Shooting Tactical) scopes are all made from one-piece tube milled from a solid piece of aircraft grade aluminum. All surfaces are hard anodized and very durable against scratches and nature elements. They can take a punch from any caliber and are waterproof and rugged. Truly meant to last. Outer surfaces are coated with ArmorTek protective coating that minimizes the treat of scratching the lenses. This coating also repels oil, salt and dust from lenses and especially protects them from fingerprint stains. Reticles are Glass-etched and protected with two layers of glass. This principle ensures optimal clarity and durability. All lenses have fully multi-coated surfaces with a Vortex XR coatings.
The EBR1 reticle comes in Mil (0,1 mrad per click) or moa (1/4 moa per click) variant, with its sutensions always remaining matched – MIL/MIL or MOA/MOA..
