Athlon Midas BTR (Bright Tactical Reticle) rifle scopes are related to the Athlon Ares BTR rifle scopes, the difference is that the Ares BTR rifle scopes have reticles set in the first focal plane (the reticle changes with the magnification), and Midas BTR in the second focal plane (reticle size doesn't change with magnification). Curently there are three models available, the 1-6x24, 2.5-15x50 and 4.5-27x50. All models have 6 times magnification range, HD – high definition glass, with ˝Afitic˝ lens coatings on inner lenses for better light transmission and contrast. The outer lenses have protective coatings named ˝XPL coating˝ for scratch resistance and for repeling dirt, water and oil off the lenses.
All models have a 30 mm main tube, that is made of one piece aircraft grade aluminum for extra strength, have big elevation range for long range shooting, parallax adjustment (bigger two models) and zero stop function for not turning the turret under the zeroed rifle adjustment.
The turrets by the wide angle model are capped to prevent accidental movement, but on other two models the turrets are exposed tactical that are multi turn, but have no zero stop and no locking mechanism. The reticles in all Athlon Midas BTR rifle scopes are illuminated for easyer shooting in low light conditions.
The Athlon Midas BTR rifle scopes are totally waterproof and argon purged for fog proof use at low temperatures.
The Athlon Midas BTR rifle scopes can only be mounted with 30 mm rings.
