Sightron SII rifle scopes are made in Japan and the quality of construction is evident throughout the scope. These scopes have a one-piece aluminum tube with a traditional matte black anodized finish. The power select ring is fairly large and has a small throw lever on it to help grip it in inclement weather. The power selector ring moves smoothly and with minimal effort throughout its range.
All SII scopes feature Sightron's proprietary ExacTrac system for a reliable windage and elevation adjustment. SII scopes are built from one piece aluminum, and the main tube diameter is 1 inch (25,4mm). The lenses in those rifle scopes are also multi-coated with the exclusive "ZACT-7 Revcoat", with 7 layers of coating. These coatings maximize the light transmission, contrast and resolution of the picture. All Sightron SII rifle scopes are also nitrogen charged, waterproof, shockproof, and fog proof.
The adjustments themselves "click" in 1/4 MOA increments on the hunting scope and 1/8 MOA increments on target scopes. Target scopes have fingertip adjustable target turrets, while the hunting scope has flat knobs that are also finger adjustable. On all scopes are protective turret caps.
Sightron has a 10 years warranty which is a good indicator that they stand behind the quality and durability of their scopes. This series comes with four different magnifications, 3 of them are target scopes, the 4-16x42, 6-24x42, 36x42 BRD and one is a hunting scope, the 3-9x42. The target rifle scopes have also adjustable parallax, which is located on the objective (AO)
Available reticles in Sightron SII riflescopes are Duplex, Mil-dot and Dot reticle, and all are set in the second focal plane, so they stay the same at all magnifications. All SII rifle scopes have non-illuminated reticles.
Sightron SII rifle scopes can only be mounted with 1-inch rings, which are not included.
