In this category of rifle scopes, we combined all 3 Leupold Mark 4 rifle scope series. In the Mark 4 series, Leupold offers the Mark 4 ER/T, Mark 4 MR/T and Mark 4 LR/T rifle scopes. Every series is designed for a different purpose, but all have equal features and design. These rifle scopes are tactical rifle scopes, and are also in use by the US military.
All Leupold Mark 4 rifle scopes have a 3 times zoom factor, and are made from a single piece aluminum tube for extra strength and reliability. The whole tube is O-ring sealed to be waterproof, and the housing is argon purged to be fog-free at low temperatures. These rifle scopes are also shock-tested for even the strongest calibers such as the .50 BMG. The main tube diameter is either 30 mm or 34 mm, for extended elevation or windage adjustment. For both diameters many mounting solutions are available.
All rifle scopes from this series have the ˝Twin Bias Spring Erector System˝ for 30 % more holding force on the erector, and all lens are fully multi-coated for better light transmission and contrast. Leupold has even a Xtended Twilight Lens System™ that optimizes the transmission at low-light wavelengths.

The turrets on all Mark 4 are identical, exposed tactical, only in the LT/T and MR/T series each, there is one model with capped turrets. Many rifle scopes in this series are non-illuminated, but also illuminated models are available. The reticle is set in the first focal plane (reticle size changes with magnification) or in the second focal plane (reticle size doesn't change with magnification), which depends on the model. Mark 4 ER/T and Mark 4 LR/T rifle scopes mostly have also a side parallax turret.
