In the Hawke Sidewinder ED series of rifle scopes curently only one model is available, the long range specialist ED 10-50x60 TMX. The advantage against all other Hawke rifle scopes is in the quality of the image, because the Sidewinder ED rifle scopes have high quality ED low dispersion glass inside, for correcting the chromatic aberration. This means, that all collors of the light come together on a single point, so the result is much cleaner and contrast richer immage, with no rainbow like lines in areas of contrast.

This rifle scope is designed for all types of calibers, even the strong ones, for field target shooting or long range target shooting . This rifle scopes feature 5 times zoom range, a parallax adjustment turret that can be equiped with a oversized parallax wheel for preciser and easyer adjustment, that has a adjustment range from 10 yards ( 9 meters ) to infinity. The elevation and windage adjustment turrets are exposed tactical, that are lockable and easy resetable. These turrets come with ¼ MOA clicks, but additional turrets can be ordered, in 1/8 MOA click or 1/10 MIL click. They are also very easy to replace.

The reticle build in this rifle scope is set in the second focal plane (reticle size doesn't change with magnification) and is etched into glass to withstand strong calibers. The main tube is also made from a single piece aluminum to confirm this ruggedness. A another nice feature is the lockable ocular, you simply adjust your ocular to the desired adjustment, and lock it down so no accidental turning can be done. The reticle build in is TMX, which has  Mil-Dot style markings. The reticle has true MIL spacings on 20x magnification. This means, 1 miliradian is 1 cm on 100 meters, and 1 whole MIL is 10 cm on 100 meters.

The Hawke Sidewinder ED 10-50x60 TMX rifle scope features also a reticle illumination in red color, that has a stepless ˝Rheostat˝ brightness controll, that is located on the upper side of the ocular. All lens are fully multi coated for optimum clarity, and the whole housing is nitrogen filed for fogproof use at low temperatures. The diameter of the main tube is 30 mm, so many mounting solutions are available.
