Nikon Marine binoculars with IF HP WP abbreviations that stand for Individual Focusing, High Performance and Waterproof feature, offer two models for short-range and one model for long-range observations in dim light conditions. One 7x50 Tropical model comes with a build-in-scale and the larger 10x70 offers extreme brightness suitable not only for marine applications but also astronomy. They are enclosed in classical leather armouring and are tripod adaptable.

Basic Features

This Nikon Marine series offers two Porro prism models with classic leather armouring. The rugged surface allows you to carry them much firmer and protects them against sudden slips out of your hands. The armouring additionally protects them against impacts. As any high-grade binoculars, they are also fully waterproof. This helps to protect them against ingress of water and blocks out the dust and other particles that may damage them. They are also filled with Nitrogen gas that prevents internal fogging and eliminates corrosion and molding of the interior on a long run. This feature is extremely convenient especially if you want to use them near or on the water. They offer individual focusing mechanism as do all high grade Porros that allows you to make adjustments for each eye separately. However, they are not that quickly adjusted and are less suitable for dynamic situations such as bird watching, but the mechanism gives these binoculars more protection, which is especially convenient for marine applications. They are also submersible and able to withstand even the harshest weather. The Tropical model also integrates the scale that provides you with horizontal and vertical measurements of the distance and objects and allowing you to navigate in the nature. Thanks to Porro prism system, they are incredibly bright and provide razor sharp viewing with a powerful contrast and minimal internal reflections. They feel extremely comfortable when looking through them thanks to rubber eyecups that are foldable and offer long eye-relief. This allows you to observe without vignetting, even if you’re wearing glasses. It’s also possible to add polarizing filter and special flaps for the eyecups that block the light and the wind from the sides for undisturbed and focused observations.

Accessories

The MARINE IF HP WP binoculars come in a padded case for storage and protection. There are also eyecups and objective lens covers added to protect the lenses. For comfortable carrying around the neck there’s included neckstrap.

Warranty Terms and Conditions

Nikon offers 10 years of warranty for MARINE IF HP WP series with Ten-Year-Limited Warranty Card. For the first 5 years the repair or replacement are fully covered, and in the further five years only replacement materials are covered, the cost for repair work is however charged. The warranty claim is non-transferable and the proof of purchase must be presented. Nikon warranty doesn’t cover damages due to mishandling, misuse, neglect or accidental damage. Wear items such as lens covers, straps and cases are not covered.
