    Meopta Meostar R2 Rifle Scopes.

Meopta MeoStar R2 rifle scopes description

Meopta MeoStar R2 rifle scopes are currently the most advanced hunting rifle scopes produced by Meopta. They offer 6 times zoom ratio, packed in a 30 mm main tube. With such a big zoom ratio, 1 rifle scope can be used for many hunting applications. There is also one fixed power rifle scope, MeoStar R2 8x56 RD, that is specifically designed for raised hide hunting in low light situations.

In the Meopta MeoStar R2 series of rifle scopes, all feature a newly designed reticle illumination (abbreviation ˝RD˝), that has 8 intensity levels for hunting in low light, or even at bright daylight. The illumination control is located on the opposite side of the windage turret, so it is easily reachable and tunable even with gloves.

All Meopta MeoStar R2 rifle scopes have new and innovative MeoLux lens coating, for best possible light transmission, contrast and resolution. This coating ensures a light transmission rate from 92% to 95%, depending on the model. On the outer lens surfaces are two additional coatings, the MeoDrop stands for hydrophobic lens coating, which repels water, oil, grease and other materials. The moisture on the lens forms small droplets, so they simply roll off the surface. Another additional coating is the MeoShield coating, which greatly increases the durability and scratch resistance of the lens.

The main tube is made from a single piece aircraft-grade aluminum, to withstand any abuse. The finish is ˝ELOX˝ hard anodized for a durable, scratch-resistant black finish, and all MeoStar R2 rifle scopes come with capped turrets. Optionally, every model except Meostar R2 8x56 can be equipped with Meopta BHT (Ballistic Hunting Turret), that can be set for 3 different distances. The parallax on all models is fixed at 100 meters.

The reticle is etched into the glass, so it is nice and crisp, and is located in the second focal plane, so it doesn't cover a lot of the target at big magnifications. For every model, there are at least 2 reticle options available to choose from. The housing is completely sealed, so all MeoStar R2 rifle scopes are waterproof even if they are submerged in water. In the housing is inert nitrogen, so they can be used at low temperatures and won't fog on the inner lenses. The clamping diameter of all MeoStar R2 rifle scopes is 30 mm, where many mounting solutions are available. Two models (R2 1-6x24 RD and R2 2.5-15x56 RD) can be also ordered with the ˝Meopta Rail˝ that is fully compatible with all Zeiss ZM/VM mountings, for a tension free and easy mounting.

All rifle scopes from this series are fully shockproof for even the strongest recoiling calibers, thanks to the strong erector system. The warranty is 30 years, which speaks about the quality of the products itself. All Meopta MeoStar R2 rifle scopes have a really good price/performance ratio.
