Meopta MeoStar R1 rifle scopes are very advanced hunting rifle scopes, and the price/quality ratio is very high on these products. All rifle scopes from this series are made from durable aircraft-grade aluminum, which is ˝ELOX˝ hard anodized for a durable, scratch-resistant black finish, and the clamping diameter is 30mm. For this diameter, many mounting solutions are available for any kind of weapon platform. Some models can be ordered also with a stainless steel finish (MeoStar R1 4-16x44).
The wide-angle scope, MeoStar R1 1-4x22, and the low light scope, MeoStar R1 3-12x56 RD/MR can also be ordered with the “Meopta Rail”, for easy and tension free mounting. For this rail, any Zeiss ZM/VM mounting can be used.
All lenses feature the MeoBright 5501 ion assisted lens multicoating, which greatly increases the light transmission, resolution, and contrast of the picture. Almost all rifle scopes in this series have also the additional ˝MeoShield˝ lens coating, which increases the durability and scratch resistance of the outer lenses. The entire housing is filled with nitrogen to prevent internal fogging at low temperatures, and everything is also O-ring sealed, so these rifle scopes can also be submerged and still be waterproof.
The reticle in all MeoStar R1 models is etched to glass, what makes it well visible. The rifle scopes with the abbreviation ˝RD˝ have illuminated reticles, and without that abbreviation they are non-illuminated. The illumination control is made like an additional turret, on the left side of the rifle scope, and is easily reachable and usable even with gloves. The small ˝r˝ in the abbreviation stands for Second Focal Plane reticle (reticle size doesn't change with magnification) and rifle scopes without the small ˝r˝ have the reticle set in the first focal plane. This means, the reticle size changes with magnification. For every model there are also many reticle options to choose from.
All rifle scopes from this series have a 4 times zoom factor, except one, which has fixed power (MeoStar R1 7x56). The erector system is very strong, so all rifle scopes can be used even on the strongest hunting calibers, what makes them totally shockproof. The bigger magnification model, MeoStar R1 4-16x44 has an adjustable parallax ring on the objective, for a sharper image on shorter or longer distances. All other models have fixed parallax on 100 meters/109 yards. Another specialty is the 30 years warranty, which is a real rarity these days by rifle scopes manufacturers.
The Meopta MeoStar R1 rifle scopes can only be mounted with 30 mm rings.
