Leupold VX-6 HD rifle scopes are the most advanced hunting rifle scopes currently produced by this company. With the new HD (High Definition) lenses, you get a sharper and clearer image through the scope, and with the ˝Xtended twilight lens system˝ with additional fully multi-coated lenses, you get a very high rate of light transmission through the scope.
Like the older models, the Leupold VX-6 series, also this line offers you an 6 times zoom factor. Because of such a big zoom range, one rifle scope can be used in different hunting situations. Additional, they upgraded these rifle scopes with a throw lever, for quick magnification change, and easier grip even when using gloves.
The new CDS locking turrets are designed for a quick elevation or windage change, when shooting on long range. These turrets are designed that they lock on the zero, and with only a push of a button, you can already adjust the desired setting. You can also order a custom BDC (Ballistic Drop Compensation) ring for your bullet trajectory, so you simply turn to the number at what distance you are shooting. The elevation turret is a double turn design, and both turrets come in a 1/4 MOA click adjustment. All models, except the wide-angle rifle scopes Leupold VX-6HD 1-6x24 and Leupold VX-6HD 1-6x24 Multi-Gun, feature also a side parallax adjustment turret for focusing on the target at different distances.
Also a new feature is an electronic cant indicator, which helps you to hold your rifle at the right angle. If the weapon is tilted, the illumination in the reticle will blink till your rifle is leveled. This is really important when shooting long range, because an error can occur if the rifle is in an inclined position. The reticle is also set in the second focal plane (reticle size doesn't change with magnification), so the reticle doesn't cover a lot of the target at big magnifications. The illumination of the reticle has also a motion sensor, which turns the illumination off if the scope detects no movement to save battery life. When you move it, it immediately turns the illumination back on.
All Leupold VX-6 HD rifle scopes are filled with argon so they are fogproof at low temperatures, all scopes are also fully waterproof and shockproof for even the strongest calibers. All Leupold VX-6 HD rifle scopes feature a new ˝Twin Bias Spring Erector System˝ , that delivers 30% more holding force on the erector. The main tube is made from a single piece aluminum, and the diameter is 30 mm, except the VX-6 HD 4-24x52 model, that has a 34 mm main tube. For both diameters, there are plenty mounting solutions for any kind of rifle platform.
The Leupold VH-6 HD rifle scopes can be mounted with 30 mm rings, or 34 mm rings (Leupold VX-6 HD 4-24x52).
