Leica Geovid 10x42 HD-B Details

Description of Leica Geovid HD-B 10x42mm binoculars

The Leica Geovid HD-B 10x42mm rangefinding binoculars are indispensable for anyone seeking ultimate optical performance and the latest, most advanced rangefinder technology on the civilian market. With these features, along a 10x magnification, 42mm front objective lenses, exceptionally wide field of view and a compact, elegant design, the Leica Geovid HD-B 10x42 represents the perfect choice for highland or open plains hunting, where long range shots are most common. There were no loose ends left with these binoculars.

Leica’s patented Perger Porro prism system provides top of the line optical performance and an exceptional light transmission rate, while also giving these binoculars an extremely compact and ergonomically elegant shape, making them a joy to hold and use. The rubberised magnesium chassis ensures strength and waterproofing, allowing the Geovid HD-B 10x42 to be submersed up to 5 meters under water without causing any damage, while nitrogen purging prevents fogging and Leica’s AquaDura coatings, applied to the external lenses disperse water and other particles.

The rangefinder represents the pinnacle of civilian rangefinder technology. A powerful laser provides accurate measurements in either single measurement or scan mode, and has a maximum range of 1825m. To further ease long range shots, the Leica Geovid 10x42 HD-B binoculars comes equipped with a sophisticated ballistic calculator, named ABC or Advanced Ballistic Compensation. Twelve different preloaded ballistic curves for different calibres and loads, and temperature, air pressure and incline sensors ensure accurate bullet drop assessment and make for the most precise holdover information possible. A microSD card slot in the battery compartment allows the user to install their own custom ballistic information for specific loads and makes the Geovid 10x42 HD-B truly the finest rangefinding binoculars on the market.

My favorite pair of binos By
I am so glad I've finally got enough courage to purchase this pair of binoculars with a lrf system. They work perfectly and the image I am able to see with them is top of the top. Would recommend to anyone who is hunting and shooting on longer distances. They are indeed a bit pricey, but it pays off everytime using them, since they are so precise and comfortable to use. 10/10 from me!

Bit pricy By
The optics on the Leica Geovid 10x42 HD-B are good/OK for hunting (not the best I have looked through but very close). I bought these optics for the ABC and range finding capabilities only to realise that they are probably going to be useless in the UK where we shoot very short distances (compared to Africa). They are a little heavier than I expected but I do very much like the outer protective coating of these optics especially since they will be going to Scotland, Germany, Bulgaria, Norway, and Africa. If you are thinking about buying these, make sure you really need all the gadgetry that it comes with. Bullet drop is easy to know in a straight line once you know your ballistic curve and zero distance - if you are shooting uphill or downhill at about +/-20 degrees, there is no bullet drop under 200m/yds if your rifle is zeroed to 100m/yds. Other than that, having the rangefinder is a nice to have especially if you are in a high seat and would like to survey the shooting area to keep yourself occupied. All in all - I'm going to keep mine, suck up the huge wad of cash i dropped on them, and enjoy looking through them for the rest of my life - I hope!
