Steiner offers one of the most outstanding binoculars on the market for marine use. You can choose between three 7x50 models, one of them without compass, one with compass suitable for specific areas around the world and one with compass Commander Global that can automatically measure declinations around the globe. Both models offer not only perfectly accurate navigation but optical properties don’t fall short of amazing, neither does great ergonomics for such rugged Porro prism binoculars that are also extremely well protected with Nano coating and tightly sealed housing, which won’t give up even in the harshest weather conditions. Impermeable construction is also filled with nitrogen so you won’t be dealing with inner fogging due to temperature fluctuations.
All Steiner Commander binoculars have many great features and offer 7x50 configuration, useful for usage on the water, such as sailing and yachting during daytime or twilight.
We can’t get past the incredible durability of these binoculars that are enclosed in unique Makrolon® housing that helps reduce the weight and together with lightweight construction still manages to offer indestructible housing which is able to withstand the harshest weather conditions, even desert or arctic circumstances. They are purged with nitrogen gas to fight against fogginess due to temperature fluctuations. Outer lenses are equipped with Nano-Protection® with lotus effect that repels moisture, water, oil and thus helps to wipe and clean them less regularly. Commander 7x50c and Commander Global 7x50c are both equipped with compass that offers perfectly accurate navigation information. Commander Global even has an integrated compass that is self-calibrating which means you can use it all around the globe, since they make automatic declination adjustments, while Commander 7x50c works only in specific areas in the world. Illuminated compass provides you with smooth readings of direction and also include ranging reticle that helps you calculate the distance to the observable object.
They offer high-definition optics with finest glass and high-quality coatings on all glass surfaces that provides high light permeability, amazing contrast and colors. Steiner Global prides itself with extremely low distortion and chromatic aberration. Image is extremely razor sharp from edge to edge. All three models offer larger field of view so you won’t miss a thing. All models also offer individual focusing mechanism to make proper adjustments for both eyes individually that will keep razor sharp image even when changing the distance to the observable object. Together with diopter that stores its settings these binoculars are simply amazing.
Steiner Commander series offer great accessories such as ClicLoc® system that helps to release the binoculars from the harness very easily and floatable neckstrap in bright yellow color that will protect them against sinking and for you to easily spot them in case of losing. They are also equipped with rainguards and objective lens covers for maximum protection against scratches and other impacts. They are equipped with ErgoFlex - side flaps that block the light and wind from the side when looking through the binoculars. You can store them in padded case for storage.
