Hawke Frontier ED Binoculars

Description of Hawke Frontier ED Binoculars

Hawke Frontier ED are exceptional binoculars suitable for birdwatching due to their extremely wide field of view and amazing optical performance and will satisfy even hunter and other wildlife observations in extreme weather conditions. There are many models for wide varieties of use, among which are also two models with 43 mm lens diameter with an open-hinge design offering great ergonomics. Frontier ED binoculars with a roof prism are equipped with high-quality optics such as ED glass and are fully protected with waterproof and fog-proof construction. You can choose between black or dark green rubber armoring.

Basic Features

Frontier ED binoculars are made out of extremely durable build materials and lightweight magnesium chassis that decreases the weight of this strong piece of equipment. Their great weight distribution and balance also helps with comfortable portability for longer periods of time. The construction of these binoculars is enclosed in rugged rubber armouring to help with non-slip grip. Rubber armoring also helps to protect them against impacts and tight seals of the construction make them extremely durable and completely waterproof, so they are able to withstand in most extreme weather conditions. They are also purged with dry nitrogen gas to prevent internal fogging that can occur due to temperature fluctuations therefore eliminating molding and corrosion of the housing and optics. There are also two models that are equipped with open-hinge design that gives a lot of area to hold the binoculars more comfortably and safely.

Optical Properties

Frontier ED series offer great optical performance at a reasonable price. They are made using the ED glass, which is low-dispersion and thus helps to eliminate chromatic aberration. Lenses are also fully multi-coated which helps to enhance the light transmission, and the prisms are phase corrected which gives better resolution and contrast for lifelike images with clear view-through. Hawke Frontier ED series can pride itself with extremely wide field of view that allows you to track down and stay on the targets much quicker and easier, very convenient for dynamic situations in the wildlife such as observations of the big birds. For focusing, Frontier ED uses extremely big central focusing knob and right-eye diopter to eliminate differences in eyesight. Eyecups are made out of plastic and are thus less durable but offer twist-up mechanism so you can make a proper eye-relief even for those wearing glasses.

The Frontier ED comes leather case for storage and protection. There is also neoprene neck strap added, objective lens covers and rainguards for protection of the outer lenses.
