The open bridge design, along with the rubber armor is both comfortable and secure to hold onto. The waterproof chassis underneath is made from top-spec magnesium, which is lightweight, yet offers the maximum level of protection to the high-grade optics contained within. Argon Purged, the Ares is also fog protected. Multi-position twist-up eyecups enable you to fine-tune their setting to get the perfect eye relief for your eyes.
The Ares is Fully Multi-Coated, meaning every exterior glass surface throughout the optical pathway has multiple anti-reflection coatings. This along with a multilayer Dielectric Coating on the BaK-4 roof prisms ensures the maximum amount of light is captured and transmitted in the correct way, for brighter and clearer images. ED glass elements within the objective lenses, along with Phase Correction Coatings on the prisms correct chromatic aberrations and phase shift to reduce color fringing and improve image definition.
As well as the instrument itself, inside the box, you will find an included carry case, neck strap, rain-guard, lens covers and cleaning cloth.
