Daniel Jahnke is an outdoor enthusiast and a passionate hunter from Germany. He founded his own company named Jahnke. Like Dedal, the company produces exclusively one kind of sport optics – analog night vision optics. The production of night vision optics began because of the growing population of wild boars in Germany. Boars continue to cause great problems for the domestic economy and the country decided to hunt them down, allowing a massive cull. Daniel Jahnke saw this as a great opportunity and developed analog night vision optics for the wild boar hunt. The wild boar hunt is still very popular and Jahnke has become one of the leading manufacturers of analog night vision optics.
