Pulsar Axions are remarkably lightweight and compact thermal monoculars. The first models in this series were introduced in 2019 as a substitute for the Quantum Lite models which were discontinued in 2019. Every Axion model out there has three calibration modes (automatic, semi-automatic, manual) like the Helion units.
As for the Axion XM30 F, it is a successor of the Axion Key XM30 model, introduced in 2021. The previous Key model was divided into two, one with Key in its name and one without it. None of the Key models had the ability of video recording and Wi-Fi connectivity, but the new XM30 F model has this software available for use.
Axion XM30 F has an enviable 16 GB of internal memory for the purpose of storing images and videos. When it comes to a display, it is available with the HD AMOLED 640x480 display. The HD AMOLED display is designed to face freezing temperatures all the way up to -25°C. With Axion, you are able to display a thermal image in 8 different colours. The White Hot and Black Hot are predominantly used for detection activities. The monocular has a thermal sensor resolution of 320x240 and 50mK NETD (Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference), which tells you how well the device can distinguish between tiny differences in thermal radiation in the image.
The XM30 F model has a picture in picture 2.5-10x digital zoom and 3x optical magnification. With this model, a maximum observation distance for an animal, such as a deer is 1300 m. The angular field of view of the XM30 F unit is 7.8°x5.9° which means that this model is more appropriate to use on longer distances. If you also wish to capture images and record videos, then this thermal vision monocular is the one for you.
