Leupold Mark AR rifle scopes were specially designed for AR-platform weapons or bolt-action rifles chambered in the .223 Remington or 5,56 NATO caliber. These rifle scopes have exposed tactical turrets, that have 0.1 MIL of adjustment per click, but also BDC trajectory is engraved, for the 55-grain FMJ bullet that has a muzzle velocity of 3100 fps - 945 m/s.

Optionally, the two smaller magnification rifle scopes can be ordered with a green ˝Firedot˝ illuminated reticle, that is daylight bright. Because of the fiber optic illumination, the illuminated dot is nicely round and even on the strongest setting, it doesn't shine like a star. The reticle is set in the second focal plane (reticle size doesn't change with magnification) so it doesn's cover a lot of the target at bigger magnifications.

All lenses are fully multi-coated to maximize the light transmission and contrast of the picture, and the housing is made from a single piece aluminum to be also shock resistant. The main tube diameter is 1 inch, so many mounting solutions are available. The magnification ring is inclined toward your eyes, so you easily see the magnification you are in. The smaller magnification models have fixed parallax at 100 yards (91 meters) and the bigger magnification models have an AO – Adjustable Objective ring to correct the parallax error at different distances.

All rifle scopes from this series are totally waterproof and shockproof, but also argon purged so they won't fog internally at low temperatures.
