There are three models in the Rangemaster series: CRF 1600-R, CRF 2000-B and 2700-B. First two models have been in production since 2016 and the 2700-B model was introduced in 2017 as a successor to the previous CRF 2000-B.
Leica Rangemaster series of rangefinders combines high quality optics with long-lasting mechanics which classified them at the top of their field. They are great for hunting in any terrain and weather. With a press of a button, you get an exact measurement of the distance to the viewing object in a matter of seconds.
Leica guarantees razor-sharp and vivid images. With a high light transmission rate, these Rangemaster rangefinders won’t disappoint you even in low light situations. Targeting is easy and fast with a wide field of view. Calculated measurements are visible on a bright LED display that has an automatic brightness control feature. Inner lenses are covered with High Durable Coating (HDC™) while external lenses have hydrophobic AquaDura coating applied on the surface.
All models are compact, lightweight and easy to store in your pockets as they are made from carbon fiber-reinforced plastic material. Comfortable and non-slip grip makes them easy to hold in just one hand.
The 1600-R model comes with an ability to display Equivalent horizontal range (EHR) while models 2000-B and 2700-B also feature an ABC ballistic system.
All Rangemaster models are made in Portugal.
The model 2700-B is one of the laser rangefinders from the Rangemaster series introduced in 2017. The number in its name stands for its range of detection – with it, the user can measure distances up to 2700 yards (2500 m). This is the model with 7x magnification which provides you with enough details and a 24 mm front lens diameter – it offers a wide field of view (115 m at 1000 m).
The user can switch between yards and meters by pressing the secondary button to select the desired unit. The 2700-B model is perfect for glasses wearers as the eyecups can be folded down. To adjust the sharpness of the object, you can change the diopter value between ± 3.5.
Both single and continuous measurement modes are available, the latter being perfect for small and moving objects. The product is powered by a CR2 type battery. The battery compartment is located beneath the eyepiece.
This model features both the capability to measure Equivalent horizontal range (EHR) to ensure that the distance measured is accurate when your object is uphill or downhill from you (it can measure up to 1200 yards/1100 m) and Advanced Ballistic Compensation (ABC) ballistics system to help you calculate all the important ballistic data (true ballistic range, holdover and click adjustment). This model also has a microSD card slot – with the card (included in the package), the user can install his or her own custom ballistic information for specific types of ammunition.
The package includes a carrying cord, a storing case, a CR2 battery, a microSD card, a microSD card adapter, manual instructions and Leica’s Warranty card.
The product comes with 2 years of warranty. You can read more about the warranty policy here.
