At IWA Outdoor Classics<\/a> 2020<\/strong> which was postponed to September, Leica<\/strong><\/a> wanted to introduce 2 new thermal devices for hunting \u2013 Leica Calonox<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n The Leica Calonox series comprises two devices, designed primarily for hunting applications \u2013 Leica “View”<\/strong> and Leica<\/strong> “Sight”<\/strong>. As the name tells us, each device is designed for a different purpose.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Leica “View”<\/strong><\/a> is a monocular that serves for observation, and because of that, it features a 2.5x<\/strong> starting magnification.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Leica “Sight”<\/strong>, on the other hand, is from ground up designed as a clip-on device<\/strong><\/a>, which can be mounted in front of a daytime rifle scope<\/strong><\/a>. It features a 1x magnification for a wide field of view.<\/p>\n [adrotate banner=”3″]<\/p>\n Both devices have the same housing, except for the rear part. The objective lens on both devices measures 42 mm<\/strong> in diameter, and the Leica “View” features a high-resolution sensor with 640×480<\/strong> pixels.
