Remove cover when using or adjusting the Razor red dot.<\/span>
\nPlease note that installing the cover does NOT shut the<\/span>
\nRazor off.<\/span><\/p>\n

Battery<\/span><\/h3>\n

To install or replace the battery, gently pry the<\/span>
\nbattery tray out from the body. Install the new<\/span>
\nbattery with the positive (+) side facing upwards.<\/span>
\nPush the battery tray back in so it is flush with the<\/span>
\nbody.<\/span><\/p>\n

Powering Up<\/span><\/h3>\n

To turn the Razor on, press the Up Arrow. To turn off,<\/span>
\npress and hold the Down Arrow for five seconds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brightness Adjustments<\/span><\/h3>\n

Adjust the illumination instensity using the<\/span>
\nappropriate arrow button:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Tap the Up Arrow to increase brightness.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Tap the Down Arrow to decrease brightness.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Windage and Elevation Adjustment<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Razor features adjustable elevation and windage dials with<\/span>
\n1 MOA clicks.<\/span>
\nNote: The adjustments are<\/span>
\nprotected by a lock screw which<\/span>
\nmust be loosened with the hex<\/span>
\nwrench before any adjustments<\/span>
\nare made.<\/span>
\nTo adjust the elevation and<\/span>
\nwindage settings:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

One click yields one MOA of adjustment.<\/span>
\nOne MOA = 1.05 inches @100 yards.<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Loosen the Adjustment Lock Screw 1 1\/2 turns.<\/span>
\n2. Turn adjustment dials in the appropriate Up\/Down or<\/span>
\nLeft\/Right direction as indicated by arrows.<\/span>
\n3. Re-tighten lock screw after making adjustments.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

MOUNTING THE RAZOR<\/span><\/h2>\n

Included Picatinny Rail Mount\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Razor red dot is shipped from the factory with an<\/span>
\ninstalled low rail mount that clamps to a Picatinny spec<\/span>
\nbase rail. Note: If your firearm is not already equipped<\/span>
\nwith a Picatinny base rail, this type of base may be<\/span>
\npurchased from many firearms dealers.<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Attach the Razor to the Picatinny base rail, making<\/span>
\nsure the recoil lug is solidly seated in the base groove.<\/span>
\nAdjustment side of Razor should face the shooter.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Check to see that the clamp is fully down and hooked<\/span>
\naround the outside of the base.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Press the Razor down and forward toward the muzzle<\/span>
\nand, using the supplied hex wrench, firmly tighten down<\/span>
\nthe clamp screw.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Additional Mounting Options<\/span><\/h3>\n
\"Vortex
Vortex Razor Red Dot<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

In addition to the supplied low Picatinny rail mount,<\/span>
\nother mounting base options are<\/span>
\navailable for the Razor red dot<\/span>
\nat www.vortexoptics.com. These<\/span>
\ninclude Weaver spec base rail<\/span>
\nclamps, custom handgun mounts,<\/span>
\nand AR15 riser mounts.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Remove the supplied Low<\/span>
\nMount Clamp Base before<\/span>
\nmounting the Razor red dot to<\/span>
\nother bases.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Use the Mounting Shim (a custom adapter plate) when<\/span>
\nadapting the Razor to specialized red dot bases from other<\/span>
\ncompanies.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

SIGHTING IN<\/span><\/h3>\n

After mounting, an initial sight-in of the Razor red dot at short<\/span>
\nrange (10\u201315 yards) will be helpful. Final sight-in should be done<\/span>
\nat the desired distance (typically 50\u2013100 yards).<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Be sure the windage and elevation locks screw is<\/span>
\ntight before firing. Fire a three-shot group as precisely<\/span>
\nas possible at short range (10\u201315 yards).<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Loosen the Windage and Elevation Adjustment<\/span>
\nLock Screw before adjusting.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Using the center of the three-shot group as<\/span>
\na reference, make the necessary adjustments for<\/span>
\nwindage and elevation correction. Using arrows for<\/span>
\nreference, adjust dials in the direction you wish the<\/span>
\ngroup to move. At 10 yards, each click will yield<\/span>
\nabout 1\/10 inch of adjustment. At a distance of 10\u201315<\/span>
\nyards, try to center the group about 1.5\u20132 inch low.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Re-tighten the lock screw.<\/span>
\n2. Fire a three-shot group at final preferred sight-in<\/span>
\ndistance (50\u2013100 yards).<\/span>
\n\u2022 Loosen windage and elevation lock screw before<\/span>
\nadjusting.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Using the center of the three-shot group as a reference,<\/span>
\nmake necessary adjustments for windage and elevation<\/span>
\ncorrection. Using arrows for reference, adjust dials in the<\/span>
\ndirection you wish the group to move. At 100 yards, each<\/span>
\nclick will yield about 1 inch of adjustment.<\/span>
\n\u2022 After achieving satisfactory zero, re-tighten lock screw.<\/span>
\n3. Fire a final three-shot group to confirm proper<\/span>
\nadjustment. Repeat as necessary.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Confirm that all mounting screws and lock screw are<\/span>
\nsnug and tight.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

MAINTENANCE<\/span><\/h2>\n

Cleaning<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Razor red dot will require very little routine<\/span>
\nmaintenance other than periodically cleaning the exterior<\/span>
\nlenses. If desired, the exterior lens may be cleaned by wiping<\/span>
\nwith a soft, dry cloth.<\/span>
\nWhen cleaning the lenses, be sure to use products that are<\/span>
\nspecifically designed for use on coated optical lenses such as<\/span>
\nthe Vortex Lens Pen and FogFree Cleaning Kits.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Be sure to blow away any dust or grit on the lens prior to<\/span>
\nwiping the surface.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Using your breath, or a very small amount of water or pure<\/span>
\nalcohol, can help remove stubborn things like dried water spots.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Troubleshooting<\/span><\/h3>\n

If the red dot does not illuminate, please check the following<\/span>
\nbefore returning the red dot for service:<\/span>
\n\u2022 Is the battery oriented correctly? Be sure the battery is installed<\/span>
\nwith the + side facing upwards.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Is the battery dead? If so, replace the battery.<\/span><\/p>\n
