Introduction of Aimpoint Acro<\/strong><\/h2>\n

On 24 May 2021, Aimpoint <\/strong>held a webinar during which they presented the second generation<\/strong> of Aimpoint’s Acro red dot sight<\/strong><\/a> to their business partners around the world. We first saw the Acro red dot (Gen I) at Shot Show 2019 where it attracted plenty of attention among handgun shooters and hunters. This compact, enclosed red dot has been given a facelift; in this short article, we will present the upgrades<\/strong> associated with it.<\/p>\n

Aimpoint Acro Battery Life<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new Acro P2 and C2 re dots have a CR2032 battery<\/strong> compartment, and it is still on the side<\/strong>, meaning that you do not have to remove it from the firearm in case the battery dies, thus avoiding the re-zeroing process. You can expect five years<\/strong> (50.000 hours) of constant-on power at the medium setting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The first generation of red dots was powered by a small CR1632 battery that could not provide a battery life equal to that of their bigger Micro models. It took the Aimpoint engineers a while to figure out how to make the battery compartment bigger whilst keeping the size at the same level of compactness.<\/p>\n

Improved Ergonomics of Aimpoint Red Dot Reflex<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aimpoint managed to improve the ergonomics with buttons <\/strong>that produce more tactile clicks<\/a><\/strong> when compared to the previous generation optics. The same applies to the<\/strong> turrets<\/strong>. None <\/strong>of these protrude <\/strong>out of the housing, so you can rest assured that it will not come to any unintentional settings changes during use.<\/p>\n

New Flip-Up Covers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The recesses at the edges<\/strong> of the housing are not there by sheer coincidence. They allow the user to install flip-up covers and thus maximize protection against scratches. Once opened, they can be fixed in two positions<\/strong>, at a 90-degree angle in relation to the lens, or at a 270-degree angle in relation to the lens.<\/p>\n

Red Dot Sight Built to Last<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Enclosed Aimpoint red dot – sights are ultimately protected against all kinds of damage<\/strong>. Nothing can get between the diode and the lens, making shooting possible in the harshest conditions<\/strong>. The optical part is protected by a durable housing that is slim enough to provide minimal obstruction of the target.<\/p>\n

The second-generation Acro optics models are available in two versions<\/strong>:<\/p>\n
