WARNING: NEVER LOOK AT THE SUN THROUGH THE RIFLESCOPE (OR ANY OTHER OPTICAL INSTRUMENT). IT MAY PERMANENTLY DAMAGE EYES. MAKE SURE FIREARMS ARE UNLOADED & POINTED TO THE SAFE DIRETION.
EYEPIECE FOCUSING
The eyepiece is designed to provide a precise fast focus at certain eye relief. The eyepiece will focus faster than your eye can compensate for any inaccuracy in your adjustment (when you look through from the ocular lens).
ADJUSTING MAGNIFICATION
The power ring of the riflescope can be varied by rotating to achieve different magnification.
OBJECTIVE LENS SIZE
The larger the objective lens, the more light that enters the riflescope, and the brighter the image.
RETICLE ILLUSTRATION
The Aston riflescopes use VTC-A, VHL-2 or VPA-A reticles. VTC-A reticle is used for 1-6×24. VHL-2 reticle is used for 3-18×44 and VPA-A is used for 5-30×56. Please check the reticle diagram illustration shown above.
- 1-6×24 distance measurement is set at 6x magnification.
- 3-18×44 distance measurement is set at 10x magnification.
- 5-30×56 distance measurement is set at 20x magnification.
MOUNTING
Your riflescope should include one pair of weaver (dovetail) rings that fits weaver (dovetail) and picatinny rail bases. If you use weaver mount ring, set the mount onto the rail base so that the rail clamp bolt aligns with the crosscut grooves on your weaver or picatinny rail. Work the rail clamp into the rail until the clamping bolts seats onto the rail. Release the mount rings’ screws, put the riflescope on to the ring. Slide riflescope fore-or-after to acquire the proper eye relief (full field of view can be seen). Rotate the riflescope tube so that the vertical crosshair is vertical and horizontal crosshair is horizontal.
Need help with leveling the reticle?
Securely tighten the riflescope by locking screw with a proper wrench or tool. Do not over tighten the mounting system. It may damage the riflescope’s mount.

SIDE FOCUS PARALLAX CORRECTION
Parallax is a condition that occurs when the image of the target is not focused precisely on the reticle plane. Parallax is visible as an apparent movement between the reticle and the target. This side wheel parallax is designed for permission of precise focusing, while simultaneously readjusting the parallax-freedistance, for any range from 20 yards to infinity. One can look through the riflescope and turn the side focus ring until the target, at whatever range, is sharply focused. This feature makes the highly accurate side winder range of riflescopes ideal for both hunting and target purposes.
PRECISION ADJUSTMENTS
Tactical turrets are precise and easy to use even when wearing gloves. Windage is the horizontal (left-to-right) adjustment Elevation is the vertical (up-and-down) adjustment. With the riflescope mounted, rest the firearm onto a solid support and aim at a target 100 yards away. Slowly shoot a small 3 to 5 round test group onto your target. Pull up turret and adjust windage & elevation screws in the direction you want to move the bullet impact. Each adjustment moves the point of impact. Shoot another 3 to 5 round test group. Repeat until you are satisfied sith the point of Impact. Use the proper height mount ring for different caliber and different shooting distance.
TURNING ON & ADJUSTING THE BRIGHTNESS LEVEL
Located on the left side of the riflescope, controls the reticle illumination. There are 11 brightness levels red for Aston riflescopes. Rotate the knob will turn the illumination on. Subsequent rotate the knob to increase or decrease brightness. The knob will cycle the illuminated reticle on to weakness /decrease brightness level illuminated reticle off.
BATTERY EXCHANGE
Your riflescope illumination is powered by 1 pcs of CR2032 battery. Should the illumination grow dim or not turn on, you will need to exchange the battery. To exchange battery, release the battery compartment cover. Remove the used battery, insert the new one. Screw on the cover again.
Need an additional battery?
SEALED, WATERPROOF AND FOGPROOF
The riflescope is nitrogen-purged to remove any vestige of internal moisture and also has O-ring to prevent entry of dust or moisture.
MAINTENANCE
Your scope, though amazingly tough, is a precision instrument that deserves reasonable cautious care.
Need cleaning supplies?
- When cleaning the lens, first blow away any dirt and dust, or use a soft lens brush. Fingerprints and lubricants can be wiped off with lens tissue, or soft cleancotton cloth, moistened with lens cleaning fluid.
- All moving parts of the scope are permanently lubricated. Do not try to lubricate them.
- No maintenance is needed on the scope’s outer surface, except to occasionally wipe off dirt or fingerprints with a soft cloth.
- Use lens covers whenever convenient.

STORAGE
Avoid storing the scope in hot places, such as the passenger compartments of vehicles on hot days. The high temperatures could adversely affect the lubricants and sealants. A vehicle’s trunk, a gun cabinet, or a closet is preferable. Never leave the scope where direct sunlight can enter either the objective lens. Damage may result from the concentration (burning glass effect) of the sun’s rays.
